yes but on that, that's not that special. a lot of quarterbacks have done this in their playing careers. that's a stretch -

for myself if I were looking for a example of leadership it was how he interacted with Dekkers in the Iowa game after getting pulled. He didn't sulk. That makes him a great leader and teammate.

For the record, I don't doubt his ability as a teammate, leader, human being or that he is a good college quarterback. I just doubt that he's unreplaceable as a talent. I think Dekkers has more physical talent... what I don't know at the moment is what Dekker's mental make-up is. If Dekkers has learned by watching Purdy as a leader, player, teammate and human being I think he can be very, very special.


Brock deserves to be remembered and praised for everything he has helped Iowa State achieve... sometimes I feel like the praise is a bit too far but I will also admit the criticism probably has been at times too
