Talk about a blue blood Final Four...yuck. Guess you better like the color blue, too.

Yeah I’m not really a “hater” on those teams other than KU but I just don’t get why ratings are better for that than a Cinderella team.

The most glued I’ve ever been into a final four was the years Butler made the final, by far. I guess the average viewer enjoys Yankees in the World Series but unless I was born in NYC I’m nothing like that.

I’m more excited for nba play in games than rest of the tourney now and I don’t even like that play in format. I need non dynasties or my own team to care.

I’m no shooting expert and as a wrestler I never even played except for pickup games, so only speaking as a fan and specifically fan of nba greats.

I don’t think he needs to change to a consistently high arching shot, it seems more like the consistency in his release and rotation aren’t there. His game reminds me most of a less airborne D Rose (there is no other d rose) and Rose’s shot was pretty flat those mvp caliber seasons but it was very consistent and he got good rolls on it. It was the same looking shot from anywhere on the floor other than finishing at the rim and there were few better at beating shot clock or end of quarters.
I will have to watch some Rose clips. Your reasoning is sound. It's just that there is more accuracy/consistency in a shot that originates over your head, IMO, with more repeatable wrist action. The arch of the shot is another completely different factor that I'm really not talking about here.

Alas I am no expert either. Hopefully Tyrese will get the coaching he needs to move forward successfully.

Isn't it great to know we might be seeing this more and more in both basketball and football? The rich will get richer, etc. Not the greatest scenario for the average fan.

I think the NFL and NBA may actually be the sport for the fan who barfs about the same final matchups over and over. Dynasties arise in both but they are set up so small market and historically bad teams can compete if they draft and develop well. There was no built in advantage for the Spurs, they developed themselves into a dynasty for a while. Same thing with KC Chiefs and Milwaukee Bucks, draft well and try to hang onto drafted MVP candidate.

College sports should be more underdog friendly in some ways if players get a scholarship instead of millions but it seems like every change makes it the opposite.

I wonder what it would take for an ISU to have our best seasons (00 in basketball, Fiesta bowl year in football) on a consistent basis where it's 1 out of 3 or 1 out of 4 years at that level? Is it even possible if we were to retain our ideal coaches? Who has done it? In football I look at Iowa and Wisconsin and it seems like there is a giant gap between being able to finish between 1-5 and consistently finishing 6-25 in rankings. Those programs have done that, but in no way do I feel like they are close to programs like Ohio St, Alabama, Clemson and OU. Nebraska pretty much went straight from being in that 1-5 group to unranked with not a lot of time in between at Iowa and Wisconsin's level. I kind of think being a regular top 15-25 team in both sports is the highest possible place to be. In basketball because of the tournament format that gets you a real chance, in football with a 4 team playoff it's really only 5-10 programs competing for the title.
