Whatever happens tonight, this season has been an absolute success, especially after the previous misery of the past two seasons.

The only result I'll be disappointed in tonight is if we don't improve on how we looked against Texas Tech in our last game.

But even a 8-12 point loss won't bother me too much. This team has made Iowa State basketball respectable and relevant again, much sooner than we all thought it would happen.

One of my more favorite Cyclone teams in recent history when I think about it.

No matter the result of tonight this season is a success no matter what considering where we were 1 year ago today.
TJ first team has overachieved all year and I don't want the party to end. Let's get a W tonight and prove the doubters wrong again.
Play loose, play fast, play with focus and win. ISU wins tourney games this is a tourney game.

Let's! Go!! State!!!

(6:20 can't get here soon enough)

I’m planning to head up for the womens game tonight. Anyone else with thoughts on the best place to game watch the men ahead of the women? Im still a little surprised the athletic department didn’t coordinate something. There is a womens pep rally at the Alumni Center 4:30-6:15 that says “watch other NCAA games” but interestingly ends 5 minutes before the Mens tip. I can hit a sports bar in town and watch but being right next to Hilton would be convenient.

I don't have an answer to your question, but personally I've been less than impressed with the Alumni Association's prowess at organizing pep rallies during NCAA tournaments when 10 years ago in Louisville during our first NCAA tournament since 2005 they didn't bother to organize anything before our 2nd round game against the #1 team in the country.

All this is house money.

Absolutely agree.

But I have to say, it also means that we have about as much to gain from a first round victory as we'll ever have.

And I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't be disappointed to not take advantage of that. Just win one and all the haters go away.

The narrative goes from "2-22 to making the tournament, BUT..."
...
to "and even upsetting a very talented LSU team and advancing to the round of 32 in his first year!"

Anyone seen how well the LSU team is holding together?
I would love to see them all thinking about transferring out more than have their mind on this game.
