somewhat of a drunk post...

KU was a brutal matchup for us (and might just be the case any time this year) especially if we can't hit the 3. Game was officiated pretty evenly but we certainly got no home court advantage.

Congrats on the well earned win KU, but last year in Ames was still a 100% fixed hose job.

Nadir Tharpe: 7-9 (3-4), 6-7 FTs, 6 rebounds.
Georges: 4-20 (0-9), 3-4 FTs, 6 rebounds.

We were going to have to beat KU as a team, but there is no way we are going to beat KU when their 5th best starter has a career night and Georges is not himself.

-The sad thing is, as bad as we played, if we shoot well from the line, we have a chance. 22-34 is not good enough when you have as big as disadvantage as we do.

-As most people recognize, we need on average 15-20 from the trio of MT, Naz, and MM. Tonight we got 10 in a 7 point loss.

-I thought we gave good effort. We easily could have gotten run out of the gym. However, we gave effort like a team that did not think it was going to win, or at least one that did not think they HAD to win.

Even though Kane wasn't 100% he gave us what we needed, Ejim most of the game too, even Hogue had his moments where he was keeping us in it. The underclassman were simply struggling to make an impact.

This team is a Kelvin Cato away from being a Final Four team IMO. Niang and Ejim just get abused inside.

The 3's will fall, I'm not too worried about that. We were just cold tonight. But we can't all of the sudden have our guys grow 3 inches overnight.

If we had Cato, we'd be unreal.
