With the way our games have gone this year, I'm pretty happy with where we are. It could be a lot worse. If the D can have their typical second half, we should be in good shape.

Actually it makes some sense to run directly at them - going side to side is where they're speed is really going to show. What we need to do is misdirection, keep hitting the RPO's and mix in some of the other stuff - maybe a screen or draw etc...
Side to side is getting into a foot race - most of our guys will lose head to head against Clemson's defenders in a pure foo race

I like our chances. If we get Aeiouiulele in uncomfortable situations, he will throw a pick, and we will capitalize.
That might not work as well as you think - some people are angry/belligerent drunks, so that would just exacerbate the problem.

But in serious, you don't try to run outside of a team that is faster than you. Counters, mis-direction, etc. that's how you let their speed count against them. Asking them to run side to side is like asking a sprinter if they want to race. It works alright in moderation but you aren't going to be able to do it consistently
If we're down big late in the 4th, we're going to pull out of the game due to COVID.
