Worst matchup for us but we are just a mess. We have no bigs that can match TT strength and our guards can’t hold onto the ball. Ugly! Hoping we don’t slide past a 10 seed.

He was an assistant last year.... to another coach in the Big 12, that made the final 4 three years ago.

I give TJ due credit for what he did this year. No one would have thought we’d be in the tourney.

But it sucks to have gotten hopes up so high. Next year will likely be bottom of Big 12 and sub 500. Incoming class is okay, but - let’s be honest - none of them are program changers. He’s got to land a huge class next year or our program is going to be in complete rebuild mode.

So is the transfer portal still a thing or?

Does anybody think we look like a well-coached team? I mean putting shooting aside, do we look like we know what we’re doing? The things that have plagued us all season have not gone away.

We have regressed. And we make the exact same mistakes over and over yet we trot out the same game plan and players hoping for different results. Maddening.

The effort has been pathetic. Not boxing out. Not hustling back in transition. It's more frustrating than the offense which has no hope. It doesn't take talent to work hard.

We are horrible but Tech's defense is elite. They have Elite 8 or maybe even Final 4 potential this year.

And yet they just went 1-2 vs TCU, KSU and Okie St. They could make a run, but let’s not pretend like they are some juggernaut playing great lately, yet this looks like a HS team vs a 5th grade team.

On one hand, you can say this is year one and they are making the tourney. On the other hand this is the worst offensive team in major college basketball and has one functional offensive player in IB, that is gone next year. They rebound like **** and have one capable rebounder on the team that is also IB.

You probably don't need quite as much turnover as last year but you need to get far better offensive talent and much better rebounders heading into next year. The roster isn't even young, either, so while there could be some improvement in those areas in the off-season, I don't think you can bank on just development to fix the problems this team has. Especially if Brockington moves on.

Have those pile of Q1 wins occurred anytime recently? We've run out of gas. Something has either happened to this team, or been discovered in the scouting report, that has made us incredibly ineffective during conference play.
