Why are we doing it? You can make it seem minimal, but why? Slowing things down is no good. People want a 15 second tik tok, not 3 hour dual meets that they don’t understand anyway.

Why? Because ESPN.

You've already gone from 4 hours to 3 hours. A few more posts and you might actually be in range.

Still waiting on you to explain why it’s good to add dead time. Also, obviously hyperbole. But 3 hours sounds about right.

You easily trade the massive exposure for a few extra moments of dead time.
I’m not saying I wouldn’t, but what I’d like to do is put the best possible product in front of that large audience, and this is not it.

I don't think these additions will at all impact momentum or the atmosphere. I actually think it might help people get a second to shuffle around if they need a quick run to the bathroom. I highly doubt the actual production of the floor will be dead kind of like they do in football. Media breaks in football suck I won't lie. But I have a feeling in Hilton they will be fine and I bet we get to listen to the interviews on the big screen which will be good! More exposure of the guys to those experiencing a dual for the first time. Don't see this as a negative. People will be zoned in. The only way casual fans tune out is if the Cyclones start with like 3-4 losses.

This is me being optimistic and blocking out the thought of Hawk wins. I understand these won't be the best if they happen. BUT, at the end of it, this is what helps feed the drama and add more to the coverage. We either adapt or die sometimes. haha believe me I have my own apprehensions like you. No idea what doing my job will look like from what I am used to now that ESPN is going to be roaming the media space haha

But would we rather stick to the status quo or learn to embrace something and see how it goes!

I think I'm overly in a good mood and am trying to see this as a positive because I'm just excited to be honest haha
