Here is another that was just posted on Jelani

He plays with and against high level talent so it shouldn't be that big of a jump for him coming to D1 basketball. There are two top 50 high school players on his team this season, both going to USC.

Less wing and more guard IMO. I thought of those names, but didn't love them.

Best I could come up with was:

Both are borderline 3/4-stars. Similar builds. Lets hope Jelani blossoms into what KU got for 4-years!

That's a good comp. He's got a nice build and a pure looking shot. But definitely not "just" a spot up shooter. He passes the eye test to come in an contribute next year - probably off the bench

Agree, there will be lots of guard minutes in 2023 to distribute considering Gabe and Jaren will be leaving. Hopefully we can get an experienced, big body guard to take Jaren's spot. Grill will be our lockdown defender and streaky 3-point shooter. We will need a guard between Eli King and Jelani to rise up and give us 8-15 solid minutes to reach 2023/24 goals.

Tampering? But honestly, probably a take if in the portal
Yeah he'll be a late second rounder maybe if he'd leave but those types of guys are now staying for NIL stuff so I wonder if he'd be interested. Who knows, just an interesting prospect being in the Midwest and what not.

Didn't know where to post this but as for next year's class, this guy could be an interesting transfer prospect.

6'11" 5 man who's incredibly versatile.

That'd be an interesting piece, if he transfers.

17/6 at Arkansas
11/9 at KU

2 years of eligibility remaining. Guessing if he is a pro prospect, he should go now as age only hurts you.

Good find. Definitely would be a TOP transfer and someone who could demand a high dollar NIL deal. Creighton and the Blue Bloods are good guesses.

He also could probably turn pro and be a late pick and/or secure a two-way deal. We'll see.

His team sucks so he's a good bet to not be at North Dakota State next year. That's for sure.

I am probably in the minority, but I don't see the necessity of ISU being active in the transfer market this spring. Obviously that is contingent on return of guys like: Grill, Ward, King & Jones. I would think about sitting back and maybe giving the 13th scholarship to Hawley.

I like where TJ & staff have us positioned for next year:

Guards: Lipsey, Williams, Grill, E. King & Hamilton
Wings: Watson & Biliew
Posts: Jones, T. King, Ward, Momcilovic, Fish & Hawley
