Barry Dunning. The 2022 prospect is rated as the No. 18 sophomore, according to 247Sports. This past season, he averaged 15.7 points and 10 rebounds a game. Also recorded 60 blocked shots and 45 steals, per Al.com.
During his dominant season, his hard work, talent, and character was approached by the big leagues. The NBA had several scouts watch Dunning this past year and also learn more about him off the floor. His aspirations outside the basketball court are even bigger than the game.
Dunning told Stockrisers.com that he is hoping to become a doctor one day and also earn his college degree. When asked about being scouted by the NBA, he said: “I am blessed and grateful to be recognized as a top player to maybe be able to be drafted out of high school, but my kind is focusing on college.”
Alabama and Auburn offered Dunning "amongst his other offers are Louisiana at Lafayette, Ole Miss, and South Alabama.
He also has tons of interest from some major programs. Amongst them: Iowa State, North Carolina, Clemson, Wake Forest, Ohio State, amongst others"
