This is far more prevalent to Iowa State, than kids that he won’t have a chance on, because he won’t get the job until March or April.
And I believe any guy on the current UNLV roster would be able to play right away if they left with TJ.

You think a new staff with ties to different parts of the country are just going to pick up where this one left off, and recruit the same kids?

i mean I suppose we could start investigating who unlv is recruiting

The last two 2022 HS kids posted about in this thread are from MPLS. Is it so crazy to think that the next staff may recruit players within a 3 hour radius of Ames? If these were some 3 star Memphis or South Carolina kids that the current staff has ties to, i could see your point

If Prohm stays, '22 is going to be a really bad class.

Only problem is their best recruit Zaon Collins is going to jail instead of UNLV. He was going 80+ mph in the middle of afternoon and crashed into someone, killing them. Kicker is Collins was drunk.
Woa woa what??? Holy sh**!

West coast guys. Impressive though. #16 recruiting class for next year.

He has a bunch of newbies this year......that ranking for next year's class.....and a monster donation from a former fan to the men's and women's basketball programs. In addition to the fact UNLV has MUCH more history than ISU in men's basketball with a much larger pool(Phoenix, Vegas, LA)of potential 5 star recruits. That's a lot to let go to put with what Fred's family did. He does well down there, in a town the size of Vegas, you are popular....but by no means a movie star like he would be in Ames.

TJ's current UNLV roster would produce similar results to the current ISU roster they are a poor basketball team. Gonna take a pass.

He’s had 18 months to build that roster. Don’t be dickhole. There are plenty of merits to discuss but if you’re going to just pretend everything is equal and translatable then you can’t be taken seriously.

Sitting in Vegas watching them play I will state again there is not a solid Big 12 caliber player on that roster. I have actually spent time watching them. I would rather he look elsewhere to restock the roster should he end up coaching at ISU

Well it’s not the Big 12 so idk what to tell you. This is the dumbest game to play when thinking about a coaching change.

It has nothing to do with the coach, though I would look elseswhere, it has everything to do with restocking talent.

If you’re thinking that Fred part 2 is walking through that door and has in the tourney in year 2 then again idk what to tell you.

is anyone going to accept that we’re going to go through a major rebuild no matter who the coach going forward is?

The good news is it takes a handful of guys to get it going. Problem is, those types of guys are being recruited by everyone
