Aclone going to Aclone.

Gary wasn’t a felon when accepted to Iowa State. Huge difference. Every school has guys mess up when on campus.
He’s talking about a different sport and a staff that isn’t even still here. What’s next, a Sam Mack comparison? What a *******.

Wouldn't be surprised if Grant-Foster committed to KU. He is from KC, Kansas.

Blackwell must not like to discuss his recruiting too much but I have a feeling ISU lands him and then just concentrates on getting Foster.

This isn't very informative but a Cyclone mention nonetheless...

"The Cyclones just hosted three-star senior Dudley Blackwell for an official visit, so I will take the easy way out and select the Florida native. The small forward is a gifted playmaker that brings toughness and athleticism to the perimeter. His recruitment has been a rather fluid one and selecting a clear leader for him has not been easy, but the Cyclones are in a prime spot. Xavier Foster is another who has taken all of his official visits and is not far off from deciding. Providence and Virginia Tech are also involved, but this looks to be more of a battle between ISU and its in-state rival, Iowa." -Corey Evans

The latest with Indian Hills top-10 2020 prospect Tyon Grant-Foster: He has scheduled an official visit this weekend to Kansas, according to JUCOAdvocate. That will be second visit. He also unofficially visited Iowa State for the Cy-Hawk game. Over the weekend, Indian Hills head coach Hank Plona told me Kansas has made a recruiting push with Grant-Foster over these past couple weeks. Other than Iowa State, Plona said Oregon, Miami, Texas A&M, LSU, SMU and Oklahoma State have also been recruiting him hard since the beginning. Grant-Foster, a 6-foot-7 playmaker who projects at the 2 and 3 in college, is a product of Schlage High in Kansas City, Kansas, and I've heard his home-state Jayhawks could be tough to beat. But the Cyclones are also very much in the picture. "He’s been very selective. There’s a lot of people recruiting him. There’s a lot of people that want him to visit," Plona said. "He knows that the options he has are all really nice, and they’re going to be awesome and on his visits he’s going to be wow’d by them. "I think he’s more just trying to figure out where they see him as a player and what his role will be, and kind of see his relationships with different people and figure out who he trusts and likes." Grant-Foster is being patient with his recruitment, Plona said, and he doesn't know whether his 6-7 star will sign with a school in November or April. "It still could go early (in November). If he makes up his mind about something, he’ll do it," Plona said. "But there’s a lot of people coming in. Maybe something will happen by November, but obviously he’d have to do it fairly soon, as far as an official visit."

This one reminds me of Shakur Juiston. Fully expect UNLV to step in ($$$) last second for the win.

Good Info thx for posting... appears KU and ISU are the two he's focused on IMO. Him returning for his official is promising that Prohm and DRob have his attention.

Grant-Foster will take an official visit to Kansas this week and will likely return to Iowa State (where he has been unofficially) for an official visit soon after. He discussed those programs and who he has built strong relationships with.

Iowa State: "The (unofficial) was really fun, real fun. I like all of the players. I love coach (Daniyal) Robinson and coach (Steve) Prohmm they are like my guys. I really bonded with some of their players and it was real fun. I got to go to a football game. It was real nice. I'll probably take an official in the next few weeks.

General question
Would a JuCo prospect with 2 years left weigh the possibility of NCAA sanctions taking away tourney prospects be a bigger reason to not go to KU than a 1 and done or 4 year player?

So if we get Blackwell, are we done recruiting Grant-Foster? I wouldn't think they'd over sign by 2 scholarships.

I would assume so... though I think Grant-Foster is more likely than not wait to sign in April so if any attrition occurs during the season the staff may keep him on speed dial.
(Lot of assumptions there, including XF committing I presume).

Either way you take the bird in hand and figure out the roster late especially with the blue bloods attention on G-F and Walton are getting. Blackwell isn't a consolation regardless, he can ball.
