Bain released ISU's 2020 prospect big board leading up to the live period this weekend.
We can dispute his priority ranking (especially since he left Myles Stute off the original posting) it is a good list of who the staff is will be seeing as the endless scouts tweets on them start.

https://www.desmoinesregister.com/s...ter-ben-carlson-jalen-suggs-dante/1683176001/

Top 10 (of 20)
1. Xavier Foster
2. Ben Carleson
3. Dudley Blackwell
4. N'Faly Dante
5. Jamari Sibley
6. Matthew Murrell
7. Jalyen Suggs
8. Myles Stute
9. Ty Berry
10. Chris Moore

If we land 2-3 from this list that is an absolute HR for Prohm and staff.

Who would everyone rather have? Foster or Dante?

I would say Dante is a for sure one and done. I would say Foster we could get for a couple years. I think he has to develop more. I have seen both play live and Dante is a ton better right now. I would say it depends on if you want more a couple year guy or an immediate impact that can take us to the next level in that one year type guy. I would take both. hah

Add Darria as a rising priority for ISU this summer.

First of all, I’m going to cop out here a little and say that I couldn’t pick just one. Hassan Diarra’s recruitment is somewhat late-blooming and schools are really just starting to go after the four-star point guard. California, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa State, Maryland, Penn State, Seton Hall, St. John’s, Texas A&M and Wake Forest have all offered since May after Diarra entered the spring with mostly upper end mid-major offers.

So far, of those new schools he’s only been on campus at St. John’s and new coach Mike Anderson has a playing style that is a great fit and the Red Storm have definitely worked their way into the mix. Others that could be making strong first impressions include Illinois, Iowa State and Texas A&M. But, I think we are a month or two from figuring out which schools are truly those to beat for Diarra.

So if I understand the scholarship situation, we know we will have two open for sure, with expected graduations of Michael Jacobson and Prentiss Nixon. Transfers/early departures could create more. Let's say for argument sake we end up with three open scholarships. Is this a best talent available situation, or do they focus those on positions? I ask as the question above asked which of the two PF/C types we would prefer. Looking at the offers, it seems a C/PF is the primary need, with others offers out to a wing and a guard. Would we take two C/PF types, or if three are available would we more definitively spread and take a wing and a PG?

A frontcourt with Conditt, Foster, and Griffin in a couple years could be ridiculously good.

I've heard from posters on here claiming we have zero shot with Dante?

Also love the legacy recruit from Minnesota think he could be a 4 year player staple of your program type.

Prohm will isn't afraid to oversign in fall this year. He said it in the podcast with Halstead. I'd expect 3 players to be signed in the early period if that's the case.

I think it will end up being 2 bigs and a wing.
