I would say ISU still has a lot of work to do but I wouldn't count Prohm out. I have no idea what Carton is looking for in a school but it certainly wouldn't shock me if he picked Iowa bc they have been recruiting him so long.
Those may be his top 3 right now, but there's still a long way to go. Simply put, Fran doesn't develop guards. Prohm does, however. ISU is also becoming a relatively big name in the college basketball realm. Iowa isn't.
I assume Prohm wanted to see what happened with Wigginton and if he were to leave this year, next year, etc.And ISU has considerable ground to make up on those top 3. IIRC, Carton has never even been on campus in Ames.
Not sure why Prohm did not offer him earlier.
With Carton wanting to decide by late summer, I like where Iowa sits.
Matthew Bain on Cyclone Insider the other night said he feels like Indiana is in the lead at this point.
So sounds like he wants to play at a Big 10 school that has a good shot at making the Big Dance. Or, at least play for a coach that’s made the Sweet 16.I've heard his top 3 are Indiana, Michigan and Ohio State in no particular order. We've made up some ground but still have a lot of work to do but I do expect to get a visit

Indiana securing a commitment from Romeo Langford earlier this week could have a domino effect on some top-tier 2019 recruits picking the Hoosiers - including Carton
I get what your saying, but I think most can agree Archie getting this commitment is huge for their recruiting going forward. There's a buzz around IU again. It doesn't cause kids to automatically go there, but it certainly peaks their interest some when they see a player like Romeo give the new coach a chance. Why?
Langford won’t be in Bloomington when 2019 recruits get to campus, in all likelihood.
Wrong. Not sure but thats not why I disagreed with your post.
Iowa is more likely than ISU, IMO.
Eric Bossi from Rivals posted yesterday that Ohio State, Michigan and Iowa are the top 3 right now.
Wrong.
"it seems Michigan and Ohio State could be slightly ahead of the pack with Indiana, Iowa, Marquette and Wisconsin likely right in the mix."

Carton WILL NOT be going to ISU barring a minor miracle. Maybe a major miracle.
Kira will be getting a rating boost soon.

"a lesser-rated prospect, Kira Lewis, that also stood out and has seen his college recruitment soar in recent weeks. Arguably the fastest player in America with the basketball in his hands, Lewis has had a standout past two weekends on the travel circuit, leading to new offers from UConn, Indiana, TCU, Virginia Tech and Florida State.
A two-way producer that brings tremendous toughness, energy and potential to the perimeter, Alabama and Iowa State were two of those out in front for Lewis prior to the two evaluation periods last month. Now, the four-star guard has begun to take phone calls from Kansas and Kentucky, seeing his stock skyrocket like no one else in his 2019 class."
Agreed. That write up has me worried, however.Hopefully the fact we got in early will help.
