Alex gave ISU a crystal ball for Condit a little bit ago.

Hopefully he has some inside knowledge then. Based on twitter over the past few days, I would have assumed Illinois was in the lead.

That's because I'll Ionia fans engage him on twitter and Iowa state fans don't. He has said that matters some to him.

As in they both coached at Illinois?
Underwood has a pretty good track record. Time will tell. If you talk to people in the coaching fraternity. It's a big hire. Guy gets it. Big 12 definitely knows former illini coaches. They make up a 3rd of them. I'm not saying he's bill self. I'm saying, he's got his qualities. Arrogant, confident, swag, whatever u want to call it he's got IT.

He has shown he is good. Haven't seen anything to suggest he has "it" though.

Who do you think Illinois lands in this class?
Ayo, colin Castleton, landers nolley. THT is a guess as well. Only 3 schollys. will not know until officials are set and start taking place. Conditt likely to State, but u never know. His mom and brothers/family want him at Illinois. Dad wats ISU. we'll know soon enough. He's a red shirt regardless. Tons of potential though. Watch him go to New Mexico. Got to give him credit still taking that visit haha.

That would be a hell of a class. What makes you think Castleton is going ILL, as all I have seen about him is he is a heavy Florida favorite. Ayo is a real possibility as his recruitment has been hard to predict.

I would be shocked if Conditt goes to Illinois if he is being told he will redshirt, in my opinion.

Great, Now I have to assume Underwood will go from Illinois to KU when Self retires.

Underwood is a good coach and has won at his stops though his HC at D-1 is pretty short. 3 years at SFA and 1 at OSU. The only concern that Illinois should have at this point is how he'll recruit Illinois or that he'll be ready to jump at another opportunity very soon.

ISU fans are intrigued with how IU/Underwood perform due to his Big 12 connections (OSU & KSU), being a finalist in ISU's last coaching search and our desire to get High School talent out of Illinois.
Which brings us back to Prohm getting Griffen and in on THT/Conditt.
ISU hasn't had good connections to the area traditionally, now could be the opportunity to start a recruiting ground.

Northwestern appears to be the 'it' school in Illinois now.
Lol. Yeah. Best year they've had and still lost to illini twice. They would have to beat illini twice a year for half a century to be tied in the series. They will never be IT haha. That said. I wouldn't mind K retiring so Chrissy will go back to puke

They were much better than you guys last year which is why they won a game in the NCAA Tournament and you guys didn't make it in.

Castleton is likely down to illini and Michigan. He didn't like what they told him on his Florida visit. U think Conditt plays day 1 at ISU? I really like his potential. Just think he needs to eat everything in sight and live in the weight room a year plus

I hope Collins leaves Northwestern ASAP. Working in the North Shore, I get to deal with their fans a lot. Before last year they didn't know they had a basketball team, now after making the Tourney for the first time, they are apparently the next Duke.

No he is not going to start/play meaningful minutes day 1, and he definitely needs to develop his body. But I can bet you if Illinois has mentioned red-shirting to him, that is a negative for you guys. Redshirts are very uncommon at P5 high major schools these days, and i'd be shocked if he were okay with that, is all I am saying.

Interesting Castleton tidbit, hadn't read that anywhere and is a pretty big deal if true.
