Almost looks like THT could have more room to grow. And get into a college program his body composition should change a bit. With his young age his skills will continue to catch up to this body.

Calling my shot right now. If Wigginton stays for three years the 2019/2020 team has the chance to be the best we've ever seen. That is with the players and recruits we already have in the fold. Maintain the roster and add a key piece or two we are going to be really fricken good.

With the foundation developed with our current freshman and incoming class I think it affords the staff to take some full blown homerun swings on the recruitng trail and transfer market as well.

I love the fact that we got a recruit because a kid named Ayu told the coaches he didn’t want to play with him. Meanwhile Ayu is going to get to watch us play in the tourney the next four years

True, but do you recall what the view on Ejim was as a prospect though? We can go bump those threads, but if I recall correctly he wasn’t positionally viewed much differently than Zion.

I don’t anticipate (hope) Zion to exclusively defend posts like Ejim, but did anyone think Melvin would back in 2009? Imo part of that was need and Fred’s preferences.

Full disclosure, I was in junior high when Melvin came and only remember Heft's comparing him to a puppy that hasn't grown into its feet yet. Hormones, man.

But to me, ZG's more of a finesse player versus Ejim's physicality. Maybe they end up similar.

By the way, if you've been able to watch any clips of Melvin in Europe, his wing game has really developed over there. I have to think he's better than the bottom of a lot of NBA rosters, though he's considered "old".

With the young talent we currently have and our incoming recruiting class, the future is as bright as its ever been. It's crazy to think we could have a starting lineup with with nothing but 4 and 5 star players. If we can somehow make the tourney this year, I don't see the streak ending in the foreseeable future. And talent to make DEEP tourney runs, while knocking off KU in the process. The kool-aid is nearing IV status.

Yeah, Nader is a natural comparison in that regard. I went to a few of Nader’s games in high school, and there are probably more similarities than not. THT has a more advanced guard game, but Nader was physically a little superior imo. I look forward to seeing what he becomes.

The most exciting skill to me is THT's passing ability. I can see him playing point guard/forward ala Weiler-Babb, and THT may actually have more natural passing ability as well as a slightly better handle.

I think they want Halliburton to be the PG from that class. I could see THT of being a hybrid of Niang and Burton.

I saw on Twitter that the whole IHCC team was at the game. I wonder if we’re keeping in contact with that post from the basketball academy overseas.

THT is blowing up right now and will throughout the HS season. Huge coup to get him signed early. Thanks Ayu.

Speaking of Ayo....

Appears to be a pretty good get for Drake. I'm guessing he wasnt recruited as heavily because he's a 6-5 PF who from what I have seen when watching Simeon, doesn't really have an outside game.

THT doesn't do any damage from the outside? Thought he could shoot the '3' ball? He's just a slasher on the wing, or where position-wise is he most likely to play?
