Ya he will be to good to let go.

I don't know if he's a sure thing but he has a huge upside, IMO if the staff feels like he can guard the 4 spot, then he is definitely too good to pass on. With Lewis and McNeil already signed, plus Babb, Long and at least one (two if Wiggington signs) combo PG, there doesn't look to be a ton of PT for a wing the next couple of years. However, if he can have a Burton type of role, that would make him a perfect fit.

That same depth argument can be used as a positive as well, a guy like Allen, who at this point looks to have a p5 offensive game, could be used as a spark off the bench, while his defense and rebounding develop (he's admitted he needs work in these areas).

Since Allen is no longer coming, and we haven't heard much about Joiner, I'm guessing we're hoping for 5 with Wigginton and Stokes, but might even be ok with signing just 3-4 if we miss on one or both.

I would prefer not reaching on HS kids since there are always some solid transfers and Jucos available.

It looks like they have a good list of 2018 kids that we're in on, so no point in reaching too far.

Yeah we're really in a good spot getting the 3 we did early. If we miss out on both Stokes and Wigginton we have plenty of time and options to figure out how to get the best talent in here

I hope not. Even though it would take a blow dryer to a lot of poster's wet dreams.
Agree. Signing 6 with Lard being a freshmen next year makes for 7 freshmen on the roster. Too many. If Lard falls through then another HS guy signing late could be a possibility.

At this point, I think Wigginton and Stokes should be the only high school kids we should take (of those that we are still in on). I'd still like to see us grab a high scoring JUCO forward with the remaining scholarship, and, if we don't get Wigginton, a JUCO PG.

Just remember with the 6 scholarships, there is usually attrition after a season. Even if they did take 6 HS players in this class plus Lard, I have a feeling they'd still have room for a grad transfer

I think you take Wigginton, go after Stokes but if they don't get him they should be fine as long as Lard makes it. They have been looking at a couple JUCOs and grad transfers are always an option.

I have been hearing from the Indian Hills fans I work with that they are very high on their new PG and they all think he will be their next can't miss D1 prospect. Anyone know if the staff is aware of him or are maybe planning on taking a look to fill a spot on next year's team?

Being from TN, I wonder if the coaching staff has any previous relationship with him. You'd have to think they at least are aware of him.
