Honestly this game really sucks for Houston. They win and it's a meh you did it while your opponent was down two of their best players. You lose and you question really where your team is since you just lost to a team without their 2 best players. Lets win this one and live in their heads.

The secret’s out on Jefferson, just flash a double and he’s liable to turn it over. Same with Jackson. Lipsey and Heise will switch everything against Houston’s guards, but if either gets in foul trouble it’s game over, Uzan is like Jones in the paint and probably a bit better. Momcilovic will get lost on switches if I had to guess, he tends to ball watch and didn’t block out well even against Colorado

Wow! Could you possibly get any more pessimistic?

My biggest concern is point guard. Both Keshon and Jones play that role for us along with Lipsey and now all we have is just Lipsey. I expect Houston to pressure all inbound plays. Hopefully Jefferson and Heise can help bringing the ball down the court. Those are probably our next best two ball handlers.
This is what worries me also. It sounds like Lipsey's thumb (according to him in interviews) is feeling a lot better.

What we really don't need is a game where TL gets doubled constantly, knocked around and tweaks his fracture. So, let's hope other guys share the bringing up the ball duties.

I hope they win. The chances aren’t zero. If they lose I don’t think the season’s over. But we hoped for a pressure’s-off, rally-the-troops game at Kansas and they got murdered. That was only down one major contributor. And Houston is a much, much better opponent

While I generally agree with you, we did see this team get blown out by a horrible Kansas team, so anything is possible. Even if they get killed, I am taking 0 stock in this game. Just going to watch and hope for the best with the anticipation of a blowout.
Kansas is not playing well but they are not a “horrible team”. Especially at home

"According to ESPN Research, Iowa State has played just 30 minutes this season with both players off the court."

Might as well not watch.
WTH, might as well move onto baseball season.

Me? I'll be watching and cheering.

Just sit back and enjoy the game. When we look back at this season, I doubt we will recount a loss to Houston while missing our 2 leading scorers. Rather, the first thing we likely will recount will be how the team performed during the tournaments.

Sit back, grab some popcorn and a beer, and just enjoy today regardless how the game turns out
