I wasn’t impressed with him I’ll own it, playing at an all conference level.
Finding his way & niche with the team. His passing skills as a forward are very Niang-esque. That's when he's at his best. Not a pick & pop from 3 guy like George's from the wings & top of the key, but has great vision & ability to pass when spaces exist. Loved his aggressiveness tonight on the boards. He & Dishon did serious men's work on the blocks tonight. Great win

Not sure which I enjoy more. The disappointment by the Hawkeye fans at the loss, or the egg on the face of the negative posts here. Can't some of the people here put on their big boy (and girl) pants and let the game play out before they make such silly posts. Really? TJ just coached a first Cyclone team to a win at CHA in what a decade or so. Lipsey showed his heart and leadership and finished 3-7 from 3, when posters here were suggesting he should be sitting! And so on.

This particular kind of post is the absolute most tedious thing on CF.

Thanks Rulzzz!

I don't think Iowa will finish any better than how their 3 point shooting will let them be...if they shoot unconscious from the 3 like tonight, they'll win some games. But they are seriously limited inside if Freeman gets in foul trouble. And most games they'll eventually cool off and their defense can't keep them in the game.
Agree. I think Iowa is a fringe tournament team. They might make it, and if they do, they will likely get in as a 9 or higher. They won’t make it to the sweet 16 anyway since it’s been 25 years.

Yeah, but doesn't Iowa usually start out the season playing well only to crash and burn in February and March?

The Prohm years had some awful performances in this series, as you mentioned above.
Usually crash in March. They really haven’t crashed in February the past 10 years or so.

How can you be a basketball commentator since the Tom Davis area and not understand what a back court violation is and isnt. that was not a back court violation. The ball never crossed the line. The player doesn’t matter.
I regret to inform you that you are incorrect

gotta give fran some credit. These years when you think they should be completely terrible and he gets them to be a bubble team.

Fringe tournament team. Probably squarely on the bubble. They played better than I thought they would tonight, but I also think they were ridiculously red hot from 3 in the first half, and benefited from a friendly whistle most of the evening
I wouldn't mind seeing them get it, draw someone like Dayton in first round.

Always fun watching them pack their bags for a long trip and it really turns into a sleepover.
