Exactly what I was thinking. This team overachieved just like last year, now the other coaches have figured the team out and made the proper adjustments. T.J. and staff haven’t changed anything. T.J. getting destroyed in the coaching department the second half of conference play two years in a row.

I mean taking a step back it's not too shocking. We were already one guard short when Grill was healthy. Add on a mostly complete season, and take out grill and our guards must have a mostly empty tank.

We just dont have the talent level most of the league has. Thankfully we punched above our weight early in the conference schedule to set us up for a decent seed in the tournament.

I can't wait for the talent upgrade coming in the next two years

To be fair, if your roster is limited, then it is much tougher to adjust. Not saying impossible, but definitely more difficult.

It’s more a byproduct of a limited roster. Steve left the cupboard completely bare and TJ had had to scrounge up enough talent to compete. But there’s no denying we have been offensively limited the last two years. There aren’t a lot of counterpunches to throw as a coach when you are so limited offensively.
