Man Iowa State is trash Cougars on top! Better find a different sport ehh? I’m sure your interpretive dance team is really good knowing how odd the state of iowa is
So I’m from Iowa but live in Utah. There’s a reason I like this board better than Cougarboard and you are showing why. Although I’m suspecting you might be too young to officially join either board.

ISU runs a rather unsophisticated offense that depends a lot on athletic advantage for prolonged success. IMO, not a great approach if you want to win the conference regular season in the Big 12, or for tying to win 6 in a row in a post season tournament. The 25-minutes-of-dog-barf offense/15-minutes-of-good-offense personna that ISU exhibits on a regular basis isn't really helpful either. I also think these two things are related.

A number of folks are suggesting that Gilbert has regressed. Maybe, but I think it has more to do with teams having figured out his game and how he functions in ISU's simple offensive scheme. That scheme just doesn't do much to confound the defense and get guys easier looks.

It's also hard to conquer the Big 12 without consistent post/big play. Not really sure what is going on there.
Good observations. I recall Brockington too was not the same in his last 10 or so games as he was in his first 20- whatever games. Could be the same thing happening to Keshon now.

True every team is going to have an off night and play poorly, but when you have the WV, KSU and OSU games where we basically do not show up and get blown out, its not a good sign. It's this that separates great teams from pretenders.
I'll be pedantic and say I would not lump WVU in with the other two. ISU couldn't make a shot. They got open looks, and played defense well enough to win

Does BYU playing more guys lend well to a March run?
Whats with push off not being called? Sounds like BYU was getting away with push offs and travels in the 2nd half.
ISU needs consider 9-10 man rotation instead of 8?
Rebounding ooof, they worked us hard.
Is our offense too impatient? Why expense all that energy on defense to put up a quick shot?
