To be kind of fair, wasn’t the first one the one that Jefferson couldn’t even catch the pass? No idea if it was a good play or not, but dude literally took his eyes off the ball.
IMO tamin held the ball to long. Had Jefferson caught it clean he would have only had 2 seconds to do anything with it anyway

I hate this team. We return the best backcourt in America, supposedly added better front court help, and we are worse than last year.

Just like 2021 in football, all that talent coming back and they are worse. Same thing with Prohms first year. Beat roster we've ever had and even worse than before. Getting tired of it.

Although I don't hate this team, it's frustrating. And frankly I am not enjoying watching this team nearly as much as former teams. I watch every second, but I honestly don't look forward to game days as it's guesswork what you get. Stressful guesswork.

That's the game and then some. Just no second chance shots and we weren't lighting it up to begin with.
Yea, this was it. Still could have pulled it out though. To be honest BYU is playing incredibly well right now. They’ve been thumping everyone by double digits. JJ shot was so close to falling at end of regulation.

Nate Schmidt needs to take a long look in the mirror. Game should have never even gone to a second OT. Multiple opportunities to draw up a game winning play and just not capable of doing it
It is definitely not on the head coach. :)
Are you...14?
No, just calling you out for all your hypocrisy on every single post. You relentlessly attack other Cyclone fans and act like a know it all. It is also interesting to see you insult past Cyclone teams.

Sucks to lose this game, but if they end up in Denver as the #03 seed in the West Regional, this could be a good long term thing.
Honestly if we can't finish this win at home with our crowd at 120db why are we even talking about what might be good in the tourney. BYU are peaking at the right time, we are playing one good game, one bad game, one good half, one bad half. I know I was proud of our guys that they showed some heart and decided to compete, but we still aren't trending in the right direction.

Doesn’t help Gilbert has regressed horrendously throughout the year and both Jackson/Chat are actually worse than BRE/King. Jefferson has been nice for the most part. Also jones has majorly come back down to earth the past month plus Lipsey banged up. Only thing that makes me slightly optimistic in tourney is that you’re facing teams not used to our physicality (when we show it). Honestly wouldn’t mind an early exit in KC to rest up a bit.

Now need BYU to lose on Saturday, need ISU to win on the road, and get some help or ISU plays on Wednesday at the Big 12 tournament

The practical implication isn’t huge. It’s the same issues/mistakes that get so frustrating

A team like BYU who is hot right now will make it to the final four. A team like Iowa State who can be great but can also be god awful is a first game exit waiting to happen.
