I'm sorry if this is your first basketball season where things can change.

They're ranked #23 and have been playing some very good basketball lately.
BYU is one of the hottest teams in the country right now. They are pretty good.

Team looked great the first 10 minutes and now they are just pooing this one away.
no they didn't they didn't score enough. We couldn't score, didn't build a big enough pad.

The turnovers get talked about a lot but our offensive slumps and giving up 10+ pt. runs seemingly every single game will absolutely kill us during the first weekend.

Last year it looked like the program may have turned a corner but 3/4 years under TJ we've just steadily gotten worse as the year goes on. It's weird how a guy who was on the bench for some of our best offenses ever can't get it figured out on that end.

Idk if teams figure us out and we can't adjust or what but Feb/Mar is ugly under TJ. A road trip to Manhattan doesn't seem like the recipe to figure things out, hopefully KC is good to us and we'll look better getting away from Big 12 teams that seem to have our number.
The common element of all of these teams is that there has never been a structured offense. We have consistently relied on hero ball all four years to bail us out when the offense runs out of high ball screens

Yea the metrics say we are improved offensively this year but it’s still varies so much from game to game just like the individual players do. When we are bad we are bad. Still think this team can beat anyone on a single night but never will be consistent enough to make a meaningful run.

This team more than any TJ team looks like it doesn't know what it wants to do on offense. There's very little movement, screens don't go anywhere, no bread-and-butter plays, it's just aimless.

Didn't generate any offense with the early TOs. Didn't really attack the basket & even on a break we shy away from the bucket rather than attacking it. Giving up layups after makes is abysmal.
They needed to get up like 10-0.

I reserve the right to change my mind if somehow we look like rockstars in the second half. However, as the season has gone on, I think I’ll actually be more surprised than not if we make a run in March. Reality is that this team has been very inconsistent since early/mid-january. Yes I know we are 18-1 or whatever at full strength but most of those games were a long time and most of them against cupcakes.

Maybe it is injuries, maybe it isn’t. Reality is that we have zero momentum here at the end of the season.
