How is it CMC’s fault that Rocco tried to throw a dart from two yards away? How was it CMC’s fault that Noel couldn’t make a fair punt catch? There are lots of times when CMC does some questionable things, but you’re just reaching here.
I agree on those 2 plays. But CMC is a QB killer. Look what he did with Purdy. He regressed every year here. It’s the play calling that is ridiculous. Who calls a rollout pass on short side of field with 1 receiver in play. It’s junior high level sh*t. Rocco’s strength is quick throw over the middle and occasional deep throws.

The irony of that particular play is that it is the safe play you call to avoid pushing the ball downfield and avoid a redzone turnover.

Been a long time since I've seen this kind of domination playing on the road. It's so ISU that we're only up 4. Oh well, if we can get out of our own way the second half, we'll be fine. Big if, though.

Is it fair to mention, at least in part, that because of the pick-6 Utah had less of a chance to get offensive production?

That doesn't make up for all of the discrepancy, certainly, but at least some of it?

But I agree with most that we would be very comfortable w/o the 2 turnovers.

Way up there
I'd say Mouser is calling a pretty good game so far.
At halftime of the Cincy game Campbell said they needed to throw to open up the run, tonight, I think we threw like first 5 plays, Rocco's scramble was the only run. Seems like they started tonight doing the same.

Your point is well taken. Pick 6's can really skew the statistics. Nevertheless, it has been a dominating performance everywhere except the scoreboard.

We aren’t in control of our own destiny. There’s a weirdo combo where we could be left out. We need BYU to beat Houston.

1. Purdy did not regress every year. It's been said on here before although it seems like he did regress his senior year, it was likely due to keeping him healthy for a NFL career (which obviously worked).
2. If you're looking for a QB killer it's going to be the offensive coach, not CMC.
