The 2 minute warning is just yet another way to get a long commercial break in. Keeping the clock running is yet another way to shorten the game... but not the start/end times because of the constant increase in commercial breaks.

So dumb. Lets have fewer plays and more commercials. That surely better for the game and will make it more popular.

Iowa has single handedly brought down the scoring average and prompted people to ask to watch commercials instead of their offense.

Thursday 8/29 - NDSU at Colorado (ESPN, 7pm CT)
Friday 8/30 - TCU at Stanford (ESPN, 9:30pm CT)

Also, mark your calendar:

The first three weeks of ESPN’s 2024 college football schedule and all special date games will be revealed on Thursday, May 30. ESPN’s Bowl Season schedule will be unveiled on Thursday, June 6.

Buried in the FOX upfront is that they will now be using Friday nights for CFB and CBB.


Also, for the first time in five years, there is no WWE SmackDown on Fridays as the network is replacing the departing wrestling franchise with sports coverage of college football and basketball as well as UFL.
