Will be curious to see what they had to send for Castellanos but that was a solid pickup right there. Will probably be batting leadoff. The question now is who may be DFA or sent down to make room for some of these moves the past couple days.

We just traded for right handed Kyle Schwarber that's somehow worse defensively. The coming Schwarber-Heyward-Castellanos outfield is a nightmare.

Its like TheoJed completely forgot that being an elite defensive team is probably the biggest reason 2016 happened.

Castellanos is probably a more proven bat than Schwarber is. Heck even his "down" year this year he's still hitting .273 with an on base of .328 which that .273 average puts him just below Heyward's .278 for 6th best on this roster. Schwarber has never hit for more than .246 any season while Castellanos worst is .255

Yeah I am not a fan of his defense either but I'm guessing they did not give up much to get him and given this team's offensive woes who else were you going to get without sending a bunch in return like we would have for someone like Merrifield. This team still is pretty flawed even with these recent trades so it wasn't like they were going to be able to bring in 1 or 2 guys to miraculously fix the offense.
