Go figure. Cubs win a long game and our 5 month old is being cranky at 12:40 Am keeping everyone up. May be a rough day at work on short rest but still beat tired after a loss
Not with the uncertainty of Jake's hammy. If you don't need him Game 1 of the NLCS, I would leave him off this rounds roster.
Agreed but Rossy came out and said everyone on the team loves Lackey and he demands the most from everyone which is why he's great in the postseason. If that's the case, I like him on the roster.
But then again, he was pretty much alone in the bullpen last night not motivating anyone lol
You could argue he shouldn't have been on the NLDS roster more than he shouldn't be on the NLCS roster. Longer series, plus he is probably the Game 1 starter.
Did anyone's feed get blacked out last night? I have DISH and lost the channel (not the others) of the game while they were doing the instant replay on the first base pickoff back tag. Since it was late, I just watched via Game Center in bed.
What's the story with Hector Rondon? I thought he had a pretty good September. I would have loved to see him in the bullpen yesterday.
Theo should have spent more time finding relievers who can throw strikes in the playoffs.
I think we need to work on essentially reseting the pitching rotation, which means Lackey has to start either Game 1 or 2. He actually has good numbers against the Dodgers, so I say you do it right away, and use Quintana in Game 2. Then figure out how you want to handle Hendricks, Lester and Arretia in the three games at Wrigley knowing that whoever pitches Game 3 would also likely go Game 7.
