What the absolute **** is going on with this team? This is the most embarrassing collapse I've EVER witnessed in my life.

They'll get it together once they're healthy, I'm sure. But how the **** does this happen? It's like they're trying to suck balls.

The most embarrassing collapse? I wouldn't go that far...yet. Right now it's simply a slump, happens to just about every team in baseball every year. If it continues for the next 3 months than yes, it would be an epic collapse. Still think what happened to the 2001 Mariners is the most epic collapse maybe ever... Golden State this year is up there as well.

This is a heck of a slump to go through. We're at 20 games now, an eighth of the season, 12.5% of the season.

Really glad I didn't get my hopes up too much with this team. Been a fan of the Cubs and ISU for far too long to let that happen to myself. Still frustrating though as it was nice to see them doing so well early in the season and we'll probably have to lose at least one young talented player to try to get some pitching help.

How about 2003 NLCS? Or the last month of the 2004 season? This is a bad stretch but it happens, there's three months left, they will still win 90+ games and be in the playoffs.

What epic collapse did the 2001 Mariners have? They lost in the ALCS, the playoffs are a crap shoot and they lost to a team with a ton of post season success. I wouldn't call that a collaps . The Mets blowing an 8 game lead or whatever over the final two weeks of the year is a collapse, the Angels blowing a similar lead to the Mariners in '95 is a collapse.

Heyward can't put the ball in play with 1st and 3rd and a chance at a big inning...Baez has time to gather himself and throw a guy out by 2-3 steps but chucks it down the right field line, leading to 2 runs scoring that wouldn't have...

This feels like a nightmare of garbage baseball on a daily basis.

Were the Pirates 14 or 15 games back a few weeks back?

Looking like it'll be down to 5.5 after today unless the Cubs decide to start pitching, start fielding the ball, and start getting a timely hit every once in a while.

Fundamentals...walks, errors, and extra bases.

That's 3 out of Pittsbugh's 5 runs that were gifts today...coupled with another day of not being able to hit with RISP.

They dominated the regular season, got the most wins in MLB history, and just about lost in the ALDS, only to get dominated in the ALCS. The Mariners not getting to the World Series that year would of been like the Warriors getting beat by the Thunder this year.
