lipsey is our best player. hands down. Shame on a lot of players and coaches for tonight. Got smoked by a bunch of goofy looking guys without their best player and they didn't even prepare for us.
unreal.

Didn't prepare?

They played like they've been waiting a year for this one.

ISU played like they forgot there was a game.

Lots of Fs to go around tonight when handing out grades, but TJ gets an F-. Not ready, out coached during, looked defeated the entire game.

I’m not saying you’re exaggerating or lying, I think you’re getting bad information. From everything I’ve read, that type of money is reserved for football and the MBB only/MBB power schools.
I wish that was the case. I’ve been shared text messages from players, recruits, and donors that show amounts. Obviously I don’t have direct visual evidence on those not related to ISU, but you hear pretty reliable numbers when you compare them to even the Basile of the world that get 200k.

Holy cow the NIL wont allow us to be good talk whenever we lose is going to get old. Just fold in the program I guess.

Right, wrong or indifferent TJ is choosing to play this way and recruiting to this philosophy. This is his choice. When it works, great. When it doesn’t you get eye-bleeding basketball like tonight.

Yep, get ready for some bashing. Everytime we lose in any sport now its going to be the fault of the people who refused to give $1.

I think maybe it is TJ building a program with a base of Defense and then trying to recruit shooters eventually. It looks like it for next year at least. Maybe I'm delusional.

I’ve already flushed that game.

All I’m going to say about it is…. Lipsey is the real deal folks. And that’s not the first time I’ve said that this year. He’s got IT.

Add in next year’s class, along with a healthy Williams and Tre King …. and we’ll really have something. This year was never going to be much honestly. UNC was nice, but it turns out they weren’t that good. Just build for next year folks!

He's far too erratic, but basketball is ultimately such a game of confidence & he's said all the right things & been a team player, but I think the Kalsceur experiment as the 6th man needs to end & give a him the starting nod. Just think he's looked more uncomfortable on the court this year than last year. I understand he's dealt with injury this season already so maybe some is on that, but I think he's severely lacking confidence & this would give him a boost.

Biggest mistake of the night was trying to go into Osun early thinking he was going to beat up on Bowl Cut. Osun was a no show. Couldn't even catch the damn ball. Jones should be the starter and get majority of minutes going forward.

Was Ward not playing defense or something? He was doing ok while he was in there. He actually caught passes thrown to him. Never saw him again.

meh I'm not going to put too much stock in this loss. . . yet. ISU played just terrible, and Iowa shot hot early.

Just hope this could be a wakeup call for the guys to not get lazy on defense, because they can lose to just about anyone if that happens. They just can't shoot consistently enough.

Also, like last year, need to get GK to STOP CHUCKING THREES. Dribble in a few feet and shoot a two. I know analytics say that's a bad shot, but that's because analytics expect you to actually make threes at an average clip. GK can not hit threes at an average clip.

I really don’t understand how the staff justifies giving Kalscheur the green light on threes. He’s decent in the midrange and crafty within 5-7 feet. The threes are mostly turnovers and there’s plenty of info to inform that as a fifth year guy.

Hard to beat anybody that’s red hot from 3 like that and we’re ice cold. That being said, I didn’t see a lack of effort from our guys. If we played in Hilton it could have been the opposite story. It just sucks to see happy Iowa fans that only fill that dumpster Carver for their superbowl.
