I know you are on a We Will crusade and appreciate what you are doing. But it’s not an excuse to have no one who can shoot. It’s just not. It comes down to putting a priority on offense at some point.

Iowa has a ton of guys who were on the team we humiliated last year at Hilton. We don’t have a ton who were. They’ve probably re-lived that moment every day for a year. Our guys mostly came in with no emotion. And then we tried to overcompensate by pushing everything harder and couldn’t buy a bucket. The goal of basketball is to score more points than the other team. Unfortunately we have a squad that is basically incapable of scoring.

Will we press with our starters to the last minute?

Unlike RPI, Net ranking does take some of this into account so it's not totally meaningless. Somebody who knows the formula can help me if I'm wrong.

Didn’t expect it to be exposed this game so bad but the lack of offense this year is going to be bad. You can play hard and play great defense but at the end of the day it’s an offensive game with a short 3 point line. I think an overrated NC team gave us a lot of false hope. This team will play their ass off but are very limited.

It's the worst game for ISU vs. a P5 since....WV '14? Tech '15?

Oklahoma State and TCU in Hilton were much worse just last year. And there were plenty of stinkers from the two years before that. At least we are not getting held to 44 points this game.

Yep. This team has a ceiling of 5 wins in the B12. This team with a couple of scorers could win 8-9 games.

Exactly. Utah State is the best 3 point shooting team in the country. I doubt they have any NIL. Same with Western Kentucky, who are third, and New Mexico State who are 4th.
