This game is a sellout and their students are back, so I'm expecting a super human effort from WVU today. I really really hope I'm wrong, but I'm expecting this game will be as tough (or tougher) than the Texas Tech game. .

I agree with the comparison to the Texas Tech effort against ISU, but I don’t believe WVU is nearly as good of a team as TT, especially with the current injuries plaguing WVU.

ISU team total is 71.5

We haven’t scored less than 74 yet. And that was Kansas and Baylor. 79 at Colorado and all others 80’s or 90’s and a 100.

WVU defense is decent.
The main culprit is WVU is 232nd in possessions per game.

We can play any style of game and play it well.

Unless we are dreadful from the Free Throw line or get into shooting too many quick 3’s, I see us getting out in transition and pushing pace just enough.

Some days things aren't going to work out like at Tech which is normal and dropping one today wouldn't be the end all.

It would however be a great win because every win is good, every road conference win is fantastic.

WVU is beat up right now. Love getting them coming off 2 road games, the last one being at Houston. That said we are walking into a hornets nest and will have to play better than we have on the road to this point and start FAST.

Without Devries it’s all about the point Javon Small, need to suffocate him, make someone else beat you, win the boards and get the crowd out of it. If shots are falling 78-62 clones. If not it’s going to be a stressful night.

Every B12 road trip is a stressful night for me.

I’m in Morgantown right now! Last night my fiancée and I went out to Spage with some ISU gear on. Karaoke was happening so sang a bunch and met some cool college students and WVU fans. All of them were super welcoming, one guy bought us shots, and it was a good night. That being said, we must destroy the Mountaineers today!

Someday I have to make the trip, you always hear good things about WVU fans. Have fun hope you cheer us to a victory!

Although as others have mentioned, always tough to get any win on the road and losing this would be only a blip. And we haven’t played well at WVU.

I can attest. I was there in 2014 with one of the best ISU teams and got smoked.

I’ve seen it mentioned a couple of times but I truly don’t get the “state of Iowa connection” being some sort of factor?

We haven’t played Drake since 2018.
