Iowa scouted the D pretty well, some of those play calls targeted natural gaps in our scheme. It’ll be interesting to see what adjustments Heacock makes. The Iowa o-line has been picking up the blitz pretty well.
Looks like they can beat us deep outside downfield which I think may be a big problem as Stanley settles in and our pass rushers get a little tired. Stanley was kind to make a couple of bad throws there but he also made some really nice plays under pressure.
I could have thrown a completion on that rollout to the right he missed by 5 yards. He's good, but he's not perfect.
Heacock needs to dial up pressure on Stanley somehow.
And that kick return won't help at all. CMC tends to go conservative this deep in his own territory which is not what we need to do this game. C'mon Clones!!!!!!!!!!
