there are games where we just do not have the defensive personal to compete. This is one of those games. It is up to the offense to keep us in and they have faltered. Campbell program is built on defense and keeping it close, plenty of games close games. Our defense has kept us in plenty of games under Campbell. But the defense can't get it done, we can't never count on our offense to outscore people.

Do you think regular season games matter after a team is out of Big 12 conference championship contention? Because I think it's unlikely that a Big 12 team gets selected as an at-large for the ESPN invitational.

The bowl game gets way higher TV numbers than most of our regular season games.

This just reinforces the fact that bowl games are meaningless exhibitions at this point. Hard to blame some of the players not playing and a lot more of them playing but not giving it everything.

I really respect the senior leaders like Noel who wanted to make it something more, but those guys are the exception.

Our injury depleted defense is getting torched by the nation #1 offense and all we get this thread is people demeaning the guys and the coach.

It’s scary how many guys are missing from the D. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a year where a team has had this many personnel losses.
