It’s too much to throw a 5 yard pass to a wide open TE?Rocco is fine.
Right now and since UCF he is having to do way too much. There is a lot more wrong with this team than QB.

How’s that big money spending working out for FSU, Florida, USC, and others. Money is not the issue here.
You jumped into this at the end. Go back to my response to LAClone and things will make more sense to you. That's not what he said at all and I don't find your "spinning" even remotely amusing.
Moving on, this is a disappointing loss and I'm not in agreement with those who are blaming the LB corps. Mike Rose, A.J. Klein and Matt Blair could have been manning the middle for us tonight and we'd have had the same outcome. Our lines, both offensive and defensive, played poorly. Their LT was easily handling Onyedim one-on-one, leaving the four other linemen free to double our NT and LE, then get to the second level, which they did repeatedly. The KU OL put on a clinic. Conversely, our OL is simply offensive - poor Carson Hanson trying to go wide left on 4th & 2 only to get popped by a LB who defeated "blocks" by both Travis & Klotz. I don't know why they're so bad - the OL coach worked wonders at UNI, so he's obviously capable, but you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear! JMHO. Let's put this behind and get ready to play the Bearcats
Its hard to twist or stunt much out of the 3 man front unless you are going to blitz while doing it. It seemed that on our few blitz's we are trying to blitz into the same area that the d lineman is rushing through and they just walled us off.At the start of the year CMC hired a pass rush specialist. I don't see any improvement and maybe a regresion. The 3 DL can't get any presure and when we blitz the rusher just runs into a clogged group. No twists or variations. Just keep trying staight ahead push. Good quarterbacks will continue to eat us alive.
Pretty much anyone in the top 12...Rough
I mean anyone who has been a fan for more than 10 years is well aware. This is arguably the best stretch in our football history.
EXACTLY. We saw what happened when we got Jackson out in space. We've grossly underutilized him this year.Would be nice to see ISU throw to the backs more than twice a game. Never a thing in Campbell's offenses.
Verdon was hurt. The talent gap was large. Why did Ta'Shawn James get so much playing time at safety today? He was awful. Wasn't there a better option than him?
Yes I knew that, but there had to be someone better than James that could have gone in.Verdon was hurt. The talent gap was large.
We had players in good position to make plays, especially in the KU run game, but Neil and Daniels were good enough athletes to avoid tackles from the players in position.3-3-5 needs to stop. Either we don’t have the players for it or teams have figured it out.
Feels like our running plays are best when they're quick and going north south. Get rid of any slow developing run plays and anything that flows more east west
I certainly understand that feeling. Obviously if the team wins 2 of the next 3 and then a bowl game, we still get to 10 wins…and that feels pretty good. I think that’s possible, but I understand the disappointment/concern. You would like to think winning the homecoming game, at a 2 win Kansas, and then against Cincinnati were going to be your “easiest” three games to make that happen. Campbell has surprised us plenty of times before…and I certainly think he can do it again. It doesn’t feel great right now though. That’s what makes it so hard for the die hard fans who have been around for decades… this team had a realistic shot to do something special. It’s unlikely to happen again in our lifetime …
Here's the worst part about it. I've expressed my opinions and concerns about this schedule before, but if we win vs Cincy, @utah, and win a bowl game against a middling P4 team to get to 10 wins, it's still a helluva feat, but which game do you feel great about?I certainly understand that feeling. KU is going to finish 3-9. They aren’t winning those games.KU could end up wrecking the B12's reputation this year. First they lose to Illinois and UNLV. Now they have a chance to knock off ISU, BYU and Colorado. I wouldn't be surprised to see them do it.
I can't disagree with this more if I wanted to.That’s what makes it so hard for the die hard fans who have been around for decades… this team had a realistic shot to do something special. It’s unlikely to happen again in our lifetime …
