Well done, ESPN.
Well done, ESPN.
I would guess Keshawn Hall is going to the draft. He's had some very high scoring games this year and is one of the leading scorers in the conference. Might even be leading it. I'd say his age will keep him out of the lottery but I think he'll be a first rounder.
If this happens we are a #1 seed. 1 loss might even make it possible.I think we win out. That Houston game is tough but winnable and we’ll be amped for it.
I'm glad I played high school basketball in the previous century, before the 3-pt line arrived down at the high school level. Our coach's philosophy was that a free throw was a distance of 15 ft, and we all could make free throws, so anybody within 15-ft who had an open shot was expected to shoot. Today, you would probably get benched for doing that and not trying to find someone outside the arc.We need someone like that. To many times everyone is too passive. JJ could take over, but wants to pass even when he's 2 ft from the basket. The over passing drives me nuts.
In the first half Milan had a wide open jumper at the free throw line and passed it up and we ended up with a shot clock violation. Take the ******* shot!!
How do you figure? Auburn and Alabama are basically locks for 1 seeds and Duke has a cheeks schedule the rest of the way. Houston, Florida, Tennessee, and even Purdue are fighting for that other 1 seed. I think if ISU has any chance to be a 1 seed they need to win outright. If this happens we are a #1 seed. 1 loss might even make it possible.

I agree with you assessment; however, he is only a junior so he will have choices.
Anyone else contacting ESPN plus to complain and get a refund? I'm mostly just doing it to waste their time...
The local station where I grew up used to have a late movie every Saturday night, after the 10 pm news. They’d have good ones a lot of the time (The War Wagon, The Longest Day), and my brother and I would often stay up to watch. I didn’t make it to the end very many times, but I still remember the station sign-off statement, then the national anthem under footage of the flag, and finally the test pattern. After I posted that, I realized the under 50 crowd probably never experienced the days when network channels went off the air overnight from something like 1am-6am and a fixed image was on the screen.

I think passing has mainly been a really big focus since the losing streak. Poor ball movement was a bit of a throughline between the recent four losses. Here are the assist numbers from the four Big 12 losses:I'm glad I played high school basketball in the previous century, before the 3-pt line arrived down at the high school level. Purdue and Tennessee both lost again last night. Sec won't get 3 #1 seeds. How do you figure? Auburn and Alabama are basically locks for 1 seeds and Duke has a cheeks schedule the rest of the way. Maybe but not if we win at Houston.Houston, Duke, Auburn, Florida/ Alabama will be the 1s.
This could end up happening for sure but it's not a done deal.Houston, Duke, Auburn, Florida/ Alabama will be the 1s.

Passing is great. But a "shooter", in the sense of somebody who is a good outside jump shooter, doesn't need to make an extra pass if he is standing wide open at the FT line...unless there is a guy standing under the basket wide open for a dunk.I think passing has mainly been a really big focus since the losing streak. The Arizona State game, while a win, also had just 9 assists. For comparison, last night and Saturday both had 17 assists. Obviously, there's a point where you can over-pass (Jefferson definitely did a couple of times), but I think it's been a point of emphasis to get the ball moving again and get them acclimated again to making the extra pass.
- West Virginia: 4 assists
- Arizona: 12
- Kansas State: 10
- Kansas: 6
He truly does not fit TJ's defined mold, "Mid-Major, winning program, work ethic, etc..." I was amazed with his offensive prowess- defensively he was a bit suspect. He would do himself a favor and spend a year in the ISU program to get ready for the League. The payday might be bigger for him this spring to head into the portal and let the blue bloods bid for your services..
6'7" 230 who is a high level scorer, everyone wants that
Absolutely, and I don't mean to imply that someone like Momcilovic should pass up a wide open shot at the free throw line. I'm just saying they're in the passing mindset right now. But ultimately, I'm okay with them accidentally passing up a good shot for what ends up being an okay shot later 5% of the time, if it means that 50% of the time they pass up an okay shot for a good one a pass or two later.Passing is great. Starts at the top. If the coach isn't demanding it, players won't do it. He'd be a very fun guy to have on the roster. Just so versatile. Would be interesting to see where he'd fit in though considering our roster situation. However in the hypothetical situation in which he would ever consider coming to Iowa State, we'd definitely make room.He truly does not fit TJ's defined mold, "Mid-Major, winning program, work ethic, etc..."
