I took some nyquil before I went to bed last night and had a terrible night of sleep. I woke up around 4:00 AM sweating from a very vivid nightmare. Has anyone else ever had a similar experience?

Perhaps I would - if I could ever go to sleep when I've taken NyQuil. I must be the only person living that gets the worst case of insomnia when I take the stuff.

1. Quit double dosing. Don't lie, you know you did it.
2. Don't drink extra alcohol with NyQuil, you know you did it.
3. What time did you go to sleep? I usually get about 5-6 hours of sleep with NyQuil then I am up for the day.

Just giving you a hard time, yes, I have crazy NyQuil dreams too.

Yes - I have very vivid dreams when I take NyQuil. I can usually knock out pretty quick when I take it, but after the initial falling asleep, I don't feel rested because of the vivid dreams.

i have had the same but personal experiences generally set off my nightmares. what really sucks is its damn near impossible for me to wake myself up if i take a sleep aid. make sure you're not tense when you go to bed, that helps me some.

Roommate said that he half-awake walked to our living room in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. When he finally came to he couldn't remember why he was in the living room.

It usually knocks me out cold, but the dreams are always very vivid. I always wake up well rested

I usually take 3x the suggested dose because I don't have a measuring thing. I sleep pretty well and dream free.

The only time I remember/have dreams is when I take some sort of sleep aid. I've had the same dream a lot of times too. I always dream that I'm at my grandpa's house with all of my family. It's pretty crazy cause a lot of the people I see in my dream are dead now. Don't remember much else from the dream, just that I could make out everyone's face that I saw.

I think now we're all wondering if your roommate went to the bathroom in the living room. Or maybe it's just me because a friend of mine's super drunk brother actually did that while I was sleeping on their couch. Luckily he didn't **** on the couch.

lol. Probably should have included that. After he remembered what he was doing he said he went to the bathroom then went to bed.

This is what I do. Tip it back, drink a few swallows, fall asleep 10 minutes later. Best sleep I get.

Also, speaking of nightmares... The Thursday night before the KState game I had a horrible one.
Little back story: I was planning on going home on Friday night to watch my brother play and then come back that night.

Well, my dream consisted of me going to my grandparents with my brothers. (2 1/2 hours from Ames) For some reason I decided to stay the night there and was planning on driving back in the morning. Well, I took a wrong turn and somehow wound up on a gravel road that led right into the middle of a golf course. I decided the sand bunker would be a good place to park and then went into the country club. The guy in the country club was being a **** and wouldn't tell me how to get back to the interstate.

Next thing I know, my brother, the country club staff, and I were all watching some movie. I looked at the time and noticed that it was like 12:40. (no way I can even make it back for the end of the game) My brother says we can still watch it so they change the channel to the game. I look down before I can see the score for some reason. My brother does an "oh my god" gasp like it's a really close game. I started to look up to see the score but woke up before I seeing it.

Needless to say, I made sure I was in Ames Friday night.

It's a good sign, we will beat Baylor now because of it. I had strange, vivid nightmares the week of Okie State last year and look what happened. Except I was sick and i knocked myself out with Benadryl. most sleepy medicines only partly due their job for me, but for some reason regular benadryl knocks me out cold. But I will say when i wake up and get past the first drowsy hour my sinuses are all clear again.
