Dan Hawkins on way out of Colorado?
The love is gone. There is nothing left for Dan Hawkins to do except say goodbye, and nowhere for him to go except out the door. A good man has failed as football coach of the Buffaloes. The only logical choice Colorado athletic director Mike Bohn has now? Fire Hawkins. A heartbreaking 31-28 loss to 12th- ranked Oklahoma State on Thursday night defined the woulda-shoulda- coulda nature of the Hawkins era at CU, where his record is a totally unacceptable 16-32. – Denver Post

We should go into boulder next year and beat them. regardless.

Not saying that we can't beat them, but they could be one of the most improved teams in the league when you look at how many starters that they return for next year.

I thought I heard that sCUm didn't have the money to jettison Hawkins????

when weighed against revenue lost from even more decreased support from fans and donors, it still probably makes financial sense to take the hit.

Well he lost to ISU, so he must be fired.

the big 12 "be achanging" thats for sure!! dan hawkins leaving cu would not be in ISU's best interest, cause hawk has not been able to tap into the wealth of hs football talent in california.

the more intriguing case is mark macaroni er magzoni aka mark mangini... so sorry there I go again I mean Mangino .. now here is a case of a great university overreacting and blowing 50000 fans per game to be football politically correct.

and brothers & sisters ... this one act of malfeasance will unleash a storm of football losses that will leave that old creaky- falling apart.. memorial stadium with about 15000 patrons aka fans in the stands!!!

You make a good point, CyBobby. The Kansas situation is much more intriguing than the Colorado one. Like him or not, and I've always kind of liked the guy, Mangino has done a nice job in Lawrence. Yes, this season has been a big diasppointment for the Jayhawks, but overall, Mangino has made KU football relevant for the first time since the Bobby Douglas era, which is a lot of years.
