Iowa State men’s basketball set a bad first…they are the first team since 1975 to experience a third consecutive double-digit loss while being ranked in the top 10 of the Associated Press Top 25 poll.
Love ya.... but not gonna invite you to my tailgate next fall...

Where they love the governor
Baseball is notorious for this:

“And he’s the first switch-hitter to hit three doubles on a Tuesday off a left-handed pitcher when tacos are a dollar off at the concession stand and there’s a 20% chance of rain!”

I'm reading this in Bob Uecker's voice...

Correct, they don’t mean anything. But I would still prefer to not be associated with these types of records.
Is this really a record? Hope there is an asterisk in the record book indicating 1 of 3 double digit losses was in OT.

Does that record book also include Head Coach with biggest biceps? Be curious where TJ stands- he better get to work if he isn't #1.

Yeah that was my first thought, ISU had the game won and their opponent needed overtime.

I still think the scoring margin in OT games should be recorded as a 0 or 1 since an 11 or 12 point loss in a second overtime does not accurately reflect the game.

I'm guessing there are thousands of gamblers that had a bad beat would also agree. And probably also thousands that profited who disagree!

Basketball overtime margins are very misleading when looking at scores in the past. I feel like most of the recent overtime games I've watched either end up being close or double digit spreads.
