What is the point of the threads started by "Cyclone Fanatic" being set up so that no one can respond? It seems many of these press releases generate some conversation and it would make sense for the press release link to stay on the front page along with the conversation. Instead, they end up in different threads.

I agree. A thread is started regarding Iowa State news, and then we have to start another thread to discuss. It really doesn't make sense.

Doesn't the inabilitiy to respond mean that the news release thread will stay on the first page of the board for about 2 minutes? Then why bother?

The one below was posted at 3pm and is already relegated to the third page of "recent threads" (never to be read again).

Originally they were able to be replied to . Complaints happened.

I guess I don't get what the difference is between the "Cyclone Fanatic" posted press release threads and the CW started press release threads. We can reply to those. The content doesn't look appreciably different...

One is just an automated posting from ISU press releases. The other is from the boss.
