Any chance we could take the betting board threads off the main forums page? It gets pretty cluttered, and people know where to look if they want to place a wager. Just a pet peeve of my I thought I'd throw out there.

The betting threads are often the game threads for most games that arent ISU games.

Agreed. However, just FYI, this has been requested before, and not implemented.

I have a solution here. Everyone who is thinking of beginning a thread submit it first to me. In your submission, make sure to include the following:
1) Your resume and posting history. I want to make sure you're credible.
2) Your motivation for the thread. I need to understand where you intend this thing to go, and what kind of mess you want to create.
3) How this relates specifically to Cyclone athletics. I need to make sure we keep things on track.
4) How many coupons you're willing to contribute in order to get your thread published.

Thank you for your attention. If you have any questions, ignore them. They are not important enough. If they were, you would be making this post

I love having the betting boards on the front page. And I hate sweet caroline. So it seems that we each get burned on this one as one of our hated items will never go away. Welcome to the life of a Cyclone!

I propose starting a new thread to mercilessly ridicule this post. Your prompt attention in processing this request is appreciated.

If you want to be taken seriously, you will follow all of the rules, not simply the convenient ones.

If I don't bother to respond right away, that's only because I don't care, I mean, have the time to properly ridicule, I mean, consider your request at this time.

How about no posts ever. Is there anything people won't cry about these days?

Again, just like is always posted in these threads complaining about the betting board postings.....click the "New Posts" link on the left side of the screen and then page through all the threads with new posts in them since your last visit. Problem solved.

And no, the betting board posts on the main page are not going away.

Or you can go to the Betting Boards forum, click on "Forum Tools" and click on "Mark Forum Read" Makes it very simple
