This. Iowa State basketball(men) is mediocre wherever it goes.

Andy Katz has always had great admiration for Hilton. I have heard in numerous times tell how hard it is to play there. Hopefully that is the case against Texas, the number 1 team in the land.

We're still clinging to Hilton's reputation from years past. However, I still expect Hilton to be loud and rocking this Wednesday night when we host the #1 team in the country. It all depends on how well our team starts the game. If we are keeping it close for the first 10 minutes of the game, it will be loud and the crowd will get into it. This will carry through the rest of the game, unless the team suddenly decides to fall over and play dead.

Hilton is still a tough place to play

Loses in Hilton for MBB

Year..Loses (conference) out of total loses for the season
2010- 1 out of 4 loses
2009- 6 (4) out of 17 loses
2008- 6 (4) out of 18 loses
2007- 6 (4) out of 15 loses

We also took two top 10 teams into OT at Hilton, the closest we have come to beating any top 25 team under Mac. The problem isn't Hilton, it bad basketball.
