He's interested in 15 schools including us, Indiana, Kansas, Memphis, North Carolina, and Texas.
Doesn't look like we have a good shot at getting him at the moment.

Remember, this guy is also interested in Stephen F. Austin, and he difinitely won't go there, so don't get your hopes up too high.

I think we had a lot better chance until Brister left seeing that he plays on the same AAU team that Brister did.

He needs to put on some weight. He's no bigger than Garrett right now really at 180 but I'll take a talented guard any way we can get them I guess.

But Brister didnt leave because of ISU. Brister left because of Brister.

Would he really get that much playing time if Staiger is back in the lineup and Eikmeyer is coming, too? I don't think the staff could, nor would they, promise playing time.

Probably not. I mean why would we assume that he would get playing time over Eikmeyer when he is a top 20 player. It is just crazy to assume that a guy who would be the 3rd 5 star player at ISU would actually play over some people:wacko:

Sorry, I didn't realize there was a formula that translated recruiting service star ratings into playing time. My bad.

Just remember, if he chooses Iowa State, the NCAA will discover that a player on his team was given too much allowance by his parents, thus making the entire team professional and he will be declared inellagible for the first 3 1/2 years of college.

I know what your saying and "stars" are far from 100 percent relaibale but look at the two 5 stars ISU has gotten (Fizer and Brackins), both have started as frosh over upperclassmen.

He took the garbage out every week as a kid and was given $1.50 for it. The NCAA says that you can not earn more than $1.00 for garbage duty.:biglaugh:

Did I say that? No

All I am saying is that if coaches have an "in" w/ a top 20 player, they are going to go after him. I doubt they are going to say, "well we just signed Eikmeyer, so there is no need to sign another SG for a couple of years." It goes back to the same thought process of ISU bringing in a QB every year, which I think we need to do. Your job as a coach is to try and recruit over the people you recruited in the past. It is the players job to not let the incoming player take your playing time.

Basically I will take a 6'5, athletic, top 20, SG on our team all day. I don't care who we have on our team or who we have coming in
