Look at this highlight tape...he looks awesome. 6-3 and a 4.7 40. He can light it up.

Wow, from some of those plays it looks like the kid has a cannon for an arm. Now they just need to get him to Ames, get some food into him and have him hit the weights so he gains some muscle and can take a hit from a college lineman.

This Sam Richardson, the QB, is waiting on Wake Forest as of last week. I've not seen a source other than the linked twitter that says he has committed. Anyone else?

Rivals doesn't list him as committed. We are the only school on the list whereas this morning more schools were on that list. I'm a little skeptical.

Doesn't sound like a solid committment, but hopefully he stays.

Regardless of where Richardson decides to commit, he will still listen to other programs. Schools that he would still be looking at include UCF, NC State and Wisconsin.

What's the point of committing if you're still looking at other schools? If you commit to a school, you should have to stick with it unless there is a coaching change.

Why isn't this kid getting more looks? 6A football in florida and he put those kind of numbers up as a junior with good height and only Wake Forest and ISU offer? Ok....

Must be an old quote from the kid? I don't know why we would take a kids word that seems on shaky ground. Something is not quite right in either the quote or the commit.

One other factor that perhaps pushed Richardson the most towards Iowa State was the program's attraction to his teammate, ATH Dominique Rouse.

"With Dominique in the mix, that gave them the edge," said Richardson, who added that the Cyclones liked Rouse and would possibly offer him if he raises his SAT score by 50 points.

Wow, what a highlight video. You just don't see qb's with that kind of poise and polish as a junior. Smooth, accurate, and elusive. He really looks like he's got everything Herman could want in a qb and we just might have a future Cyclone great.
