The Keepers if you're into true crime
New Girl if you want something short and funny and mind numbing
Love if you're into a romantic comedy type show
Dirty Money if you're into documentaries
Shameless if you want a dramedy. You'll laugh a lot but you will also have moments where your jaw hits the floor
Atypical is pretty good too.

Oh and The Office is the greatest thing on Netflix. No question

I've always thought highly of you, but Bojack cemented it for me. Glad I'm not the only Bojack lover in this thread.

It's so esoteric and awesome. I love Will Arnett in whatever he's in, and have thought Alison Brie was just adorable since Community. I think the whole cast just nails it, and it somehow is simultaneously super-dark and super-silly at the same time.

I watched the first episode of "The Ranch" last night. It wasn't too bad, but my goodness, that laugh track makes it just about unwatchable for me. Not sure if I can take it...

I don't know, guess I didn't notice how bad the laughter was. Maybe I'm used to it from other shows. I think it took a couple episodes before it got much better (funnier), that and I used to have a thing for ms girl next door. That's why I kept watching it haha.

So Peaky Blinders season 1&2 are some of the best tv on Netflix. Hated the first two episodes of season 3. Did I make a mistake giving up on it?

SIAP, I just finished watching American Vandal. It's a parody of Making a Murderer and Serial and other true crime documentaries. I was mostly expecting it to be stupid-funny satire but it was actually super addicting and I actually ending up absorbed by the question of "who drew the dicks".

Just finished season one. Great show. Heard season two is not as good but still quality

The Haunting of Hill House is a great 10 episode series. It's horror, but a very slow build and big payoff. Both spine curdling and gut wrenching. What I liked best about it was that there weren't very many cheap scares. A lot of it was subtle. I also like the deep backstory provided for each of the characters. There were multiple times I went back to previous episodes because I missed a big AHA moment.

Great stuff

I'll suggest 2:
A) "The Push" (about 1 hour runtime). This is a fascinating study of social compliance. It is hosted by Derren Brown (magician/mentalist) & it is an "experiment" to see if an "average person" could be convinced to commit murder.
B) For some mindless fun, I'd suggest "The Carbonaro Effect." It's on Tru TV but, if you've never watched it (or don't have cable), you can now watch a sampling of these episodes on Netflix. I'm a huge fan of magicians / mentalists & these two programs are quite interesting / entertaining!

Just watched the first episode of Maniac starring Jonah Hill (down about 100 pounds TOO by my guess). Before "investing" 9 more hours, anyone have a recommendation to keep going or to bail?

If you like deep, off the wall, yes. If you're not able to get into a little weird, stop.

I just finished it last night and loved it.

If anyone is into animated shows/fantasy I’d recommend Castlevania. I was a huge fan of the game series when I was younger so I decided to give it a shot and I was really happy I did. Definitely not one to watch with the kids though, super violent.

Finished Riverdale Season 2

Watching Making a Murderer 2

Next up is Ozark 2 and Hill House, then I might watch American Horror Story seasons that I haven't seen.

I'd recommend all of them.

Another friend said the same thing. Without getting too specific, could you elaborate a little?
At a very base level, it lost a ton without Kevin Spacey. Besides that, the writing seemed very erratic at best. There were ideas and characters introduced out of thin air that took a couple episodes to even wrap your head around.

I'm trying to be as un spoiling and as unbiased as possible. If you want a little more on the nose, just PM me.

In the end I am glad the season was only 8 episodes so that I didn't waste an extra 5 hsurs of my life, like a normal 13 episode season
