...and I mean that in the most respectful way. I still play my trumpet every onceinawhile.

I've been looking around and can't find a recording of the song played after a first down. Need it to settle a bet. Anyone know where I can find it?

Got this from a trumpet player, if you just need the notes:

D-E-D-G

Eb-F-Eb-Ab

E-F#-E-A

F-G-F-Bb-B-C

That answers it actually. And I lose. I swore they only played it twice before the "I-S-U!" but it looks like 3

Yea. It's 3 times through. 1 and 2 are go Cyclones. 3rd is the I-S-U.

Yes, that's what I thought. But these trumpet notes are 3 times through, then the last run before ISU
bah bah bah bahhhhhh- GO CYCLONES!

bah bah bah bahhhhhh- GO CYCLONES!

bah bah bah bah bah bahhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I-S-U!

Is it that or is there one more time in there?

It's 4 times total

D-E-D-G (Go Cyclones!)
Eb-F-Eb-Ab (Go Cyclones!)
E-F#-E-A (Go Cyclones!)
F-G-F-Bb-B-C (I-S-U!) Where the "I" in ISU starts on the last note.

pff, that's how it's written, but I can tell you for a fact that most of us (trumpets) do stupid things to it.

It's 4 times through. Anybody that thinks it's three is either 1) a trumpet not paying attention, or 2) a trombone that had too much to drink every night for the last eight months.

For several years, the band was the best thing going at Jack Trice on a Saturday afternoon so fight away. You've earned it.
