Re: NDSU v Iowa State 2014 (after NDSU wins 3rd title & 43-2!)

Living in Fargo is painful at times. The NDSU fanbase is comprised of 15% realistic fans, 25% t-shirt fans that don't know what is going on and couldn't name a player outside of Brock Jenson, and 60% that think they are God's gift to football.

NDSU has a good football program with a few players that have FBS talent. But it is much easier to win that 1 game a year against an FBS team that is on the schedule than it is to play an entire season against it.

Looking forward to Aug. 30, 2014 and putting the Bison back in their place.

Sure you aren't talking about the Hawks?:twitcy:

If NDSU played the Big XII schedule and had to get pounded by Big XII caliber athletes week in and week out I assure you their record against the Big XII would be similar to ISU's quite possibly worse. When your schedule includes TX, OU, OSU, Baylor, etc.... come back and let us know how your injury report looks.

Re: NDSU v Iowa State 2014 (after NDSU wins 3rd title & 43-2!)

QB position will reload
RB Crockett 3 year starter, Nebraska RB
WR Vraa 3 year starter, best WR, with 2 soph slots
TE Vadeland 3 year starter
OLine 2 starters back with 3 that rotated a lot.

NDSU will be find on offense, just limit turnovers and move chains, that's all that needs to be done.

on here during our championship?? I posted this the off week before cause I was already looking ahead to ISU, I knew we'd 3 peat, YAWNNN.

Shouldn't you be adding "We're #28!!" to your signature somewhere?

why is this thread still going? Why do we care about the frozen wasteland of NDSU?

Oh the "why care about NDSU post" haha. NDSU is a better program then most fbs teams. Hell mountain west and mac wont invite NDSU because we'd dominate day 1. Thats the truth we beat 4 straight fbs teams (2 big 12, mwc & big 10 teams) NDSU is a FBS program but we cant go FBS without an invite!!

You also have to remember we would have the same resources as our opponents. Right now with fewer scholarships, smaller coaching salries etc etc we couldn't compete week in and week out. How we would do with the same resources a matter of speculation but in our last 3 Big 12 games The BISON are 2-1.

Really, who was the one loss to?

Hello to all Iowa State Cyclone fans and my gracious host the Cyclonefanatic!

My main interest in college football is predictions so thats the purpose of this thread. I will bring regular updates and discussion on the different facets of the game. I will keep you posted on NDSUs fan base, issues in Fargo and media coverage surrounding The BISON. By Kickoff I will predict the winner of the game before it happens!

If you want a ******* match head over to the thread started by the lakes fellow. He is good at that.
Actually I hope none of the contemptious NDSU fan base visits this thread at all.

I hope to add an NDSU insight and learn about the game, stadium, city and ISU team from the ISU fans. All of this input will improve the accuracy of the pick. Context is the key. Once that is established the analysis will cover two broad areas: Objective and subjective potentials.

Last time The BISON visited Jack Trice it was a good first half of football before a superior Cyclone team took control. This time?

Game is scheduled for Aug 30 on both the ISU and NDSU web sites. Time TBA. This game like the KSU game last season has a good chance of getting picked up nationally as the premier prime-time match-up.

We had a great time at Ames for the last game and hope to enjoy the fans, stadium and game this year. So I imagined a thread about the goings on with the BISON football team, fan base and media might be informative. There are a lot of changes up in Fargo.

This is a huge game for the BISON, NDSU, the fan base, State and community. There is no competition like the competition between the mighty land grant Universities. In that regard we are peers. On the football field not so much.

It should be a great game and if there is anything you would like to know just ask. In the meantime Im looking forward to keeping all of you informed about the NDSU BISON as we lead up to the Big Game.

MAJOR ISSUES FACING BISON FANS:

1) Tickets. Jack Trice was pretty tight and expensive
2) Lodging. Last time I had an RV in the HiVee parking lot. We walked in.
3) Tailgating/parking. Huge tailgate area. We would like to use a car and a trunk, get in and get out after the game.
3) Restaurants/bars for pre and post game.

Maybe you dont want this thread? If not the mods will certainly lock or toss it. If you do, let the discussion begin!

The Cyclones of course. I think the entire nation knows the answer to that one!

Good luck. It should be a good game. I believe we are the significantly more talented team but who knows how fast we will be able to transition into our new offense. Luckily, I believe NDSU will be going through a similar process.

Football season can't come soon enough!

This will highly depend on the level of our qb play...if he makes decent plays on first down....
