Testifying
I didn't want this to get lost in an NBA thread:
https://www.phillyvoice.com/sixers-...yrese-haliburton-deaaron-fox-analysis-latest/

Sacramento is now reportedly open to making De’Aaron Fox and/or Tyrese Haliburton available in the right deals, and those aren’t equal propositions for Philadelphia. In all likelihood, sources say, a deal involving Fox would almost certainly have to be a three-team deal, moving Fox to another party in order to get what the Sixers think they need. And while the Sixers like Haliburton and feel good about his potential fit, the sense is he’s not at the level they’re after for a primary piece in return for Simmons, that the Iowa State product would need to be one part in a more extravagant return.

Haliburton aside, the 76ers seem to be trying to find their version of the Colts. That is a high asking price for a guy not playing and that has potentially maxed out already.

Is Simmons sitting out for any reason more than his feelings are hurt about something? Seems like that would hurt his value too.

It would seem it would hurt Philly's leverage anyway.

I guess he is a big name, but getting equitable talent in return should be tough unless the other side also is in a desperate situation to unload

If Tyrese goes to Philly, I'll have to become a 76ers fan with him and Georges there
They would definitely become my favorite team that actually has a shot to do something. Being a Wolves fan I always try and pick a team I like to cheer for that's actually good

Doesn't make much sense for Sacramento to trade him. Haliburton was exceptionally good when Fox was out with Covid. I could just see them trading him for Simmons. Really dumb organization....I could probably run the Kings better from my couch.

They overvalue Simmons but that narrative has already been written.

Simmons could be a home run for the right team but could be a disaster for others.

I still look for the Lakers to be involed some way, have no idea what LeBron thinks of Simmons.

Tyrese > Simmons straight up

you can’t have a player that refuses to shoot or can’t shoot on a championship offense. Even Rodman and Ben Wallace got their shots up or made key fts in the right moments to think of key championship pieces who weren’t great scorers.

I think he needs mental health team every bit as much as Royce ever did. I have no idea who he surrounds himself with but that could doom him.

I’d take an aging Rondo to pair w AD and LeBron over Simmons in the same role.

Rodman wasn't afraid to take shots the way Ben is he just knew he had about 4 players on the floor at any given time who were better at it. He'd chuck up an open 3 and hit enough to be needed to be kept honest.

Rondo was “aging” five years ago LOL.

not as athletic but limited shooter who can defend and make plays. On offense THT can do a lot of what Simmons does but also score.

That said it’s hard for me to identify exactly what the lakers need.

Get rid of Russ is probably the simple answer.

There have been rumors about this type of trade for a couple of months. The 76er's have been floating this rumor praying that the idiots in SAC will take Simmons off their hands.

I wonder how Fox is handling TH's taking some of his spotlight?
