That's philosophy from the head coach there Al.

It changed from pacing and clapping for three quarters to hoping and praying that the clock runs out before they catch up, while your hands are wrapped tightly around your neck.

Good to see that all these guys got job...The fraternity is small.

It has to be a letdown to go from the longest tenured staff in a BCS conference to the mean green...THAT is a long fall...

Cushioned by the $580,000 he is making per year...

So we've gone from Sunday morning quarterbacking to 'damn near a decade later' quarterbacking?

I'm not saying that from a current student perspective, I was there for DMAC.

I'm not saying that as a DMAC apologist, he had his strengths, he had his weaknesses.

I'm saying that as a fan who realizes he took us back to where we hadn't been in a long time, and a fan who realized he had taken us about as far as he could, given the circumstances (I'm guessing part of it was him, part of it was the state of the program at the time).

Whatever your stance, he left ISU 6 years ago. What went right or what went wrong should be about 4.5 seasons into 'who gives a phuck' territory.

From the football standpoint, I agree. Its well in the past. But when it comes to people I respect as much as I do him, my support of them doesn't end. If I see him coaching a high school team in 20 years, I'll be cheering for him. And North Texas I think is a great gig. Very little pressure and a well paying job. He's got himself a pretty decent team this year too. Jimmerson would be a playmaker in a lot of conferences. Its just an added bonus that he coached for us. I would be cheering for a guy like Mac even if he hadn't.

I feel the same way. If it weren't for DMac we wouldn't be where we are today. He started to change the culture at ISU. Most importantly, he started to rebuild a fan base that was apathetic for decades which helped to set the table for guys like Jamie Pollard and CPR.

Also Dan has had nothing but great things to say about ISU ever since he's been gone.

Don't forget that one of Okie State's wins was the loser last night. Yet another reason why I do not understand how they are favored by two touchdowns on Saturday.

Can you clarify what you mean by your two touchdowns comment at the end? Do you think OSU should be favored by more, or less?

Much less, if at all. ISU has much better wins and our losses are to better teams. Their best win just got beat by a bad North Texas team and thise Arizona and Texas losses get worse by the week.

His defense and his let our secondary people play 5 to 7 off the wr was a joke.

It's called cover 2. Look around college football and most teams do the same thing, not every team has corners talented enough to lineup and play cover 0 every play.

Agreed, our prevent defense under DMAC was a disaster.

Ironically, one of Wally's defensive strengths has been the prevent. He and CPR are masters at sitting on leads, even small ones. I felt like the amount of yards TCU gained on us was a little inflated because our defense did such a good job making TCU burn clock on their last drive.

Coach Mac did sit on leads.... We played a lot of prevent in the 4th qtr instead of attacking and blitzing like we did the first 3 qtrs. I don't know if he thought it was the safer letting them chip away instead of the potential of 1 big play changing things completely. I hate prevent defense put it does have a purpose, mainly when your up by more then 1 score.

CPR sitting on a lead???? When??? TCU?? No... Not even close. We kept playing our normal offense. We don't take many shots down field to begin with so how was anything he did offensively different? Iowa?? We kept trying to score but Jantz turned it over twice and Shontrelle once. Tulsa or Western Ill?? Nope... Game wasn't really in question so why run it up??

Ok St last year?? Came from behind.. TT?? Ran up the score litterally. Kansas?? We played terrible and barely won. Iowa and UNI?? Both last second wins...

So where does that statement come from??? Our defense still plays aggressive up front. We still rush in tight situations. He does drop Knott and Klien more into coverage in tight games, but home many times has that actually worked out?? Knott with INT against TCU and Iowa to seal it. Klien with pick 6 against TT.

Again not seeing the sitting on lead with CPR.
