I use Mozilla 3.0.5 version and have the privacy set to erase all data everytime I close down and exit.

However, my bank user name continues to show up when I hit the site. Also, and most frustrating, the drop down menu in the Navigation still lists all the web sites I hit - man, my G/F is gonna be pizzed.

How come Mozilla won't erase the browsing history?

Go to preferences, and then privacy.
Try setting the keep history for 0 days

Get Version 3.1 which has private browsing so you don't have to worry about websites keeping cookies. And you can delete information from the last day as you desire so you don't have to delete everything when you access personal information such as bank accounts (because I'm sure that's what you're concerned with)

OK - I'll try to upgrade to 3.1 and see if that works. I don't understand I had it set to delete cookies and Browsing History was set to 0-days, but still it remains.

BTW, the version 3.1 that I mentioned is a Beta 2 Version so you'll have to look beyond the front page to get it.

Thanks for your help Homer - I did download 3.1 Beta 2, and rebooted my computer, and enabled "Private Browsing", but still the browsing history is not cleared - Agh!

It's weird because the browser history lists a few sites I hit, but also a bunch I didn't it - like BBC.UK this is bizzare.

If you click on the "Settings" button to the right of "Always clear my private data when I close Firefox" on the Privacy tab in Options, you can select what items Firefox clears out including browsing history.

Firefox shows your bookmarked pages when you click the dropdown arrow in your URL window at the top of the page. Do you have BBC.UK bookmarked?

I suggest setting your computer on fire. Hard to explain to your girl, but perhaps easier than your browsing habits:wink:

Give me a break and help a fellow dude (and a 'Clone at that) out....what guy doesn't have some sort of web page he hit that would pizz off the G/F if she found out?
