I doubt my company would allow that. This is a personal phone.

Yeah Im doubting they would let you get work email on it unless you are administrative in job, which you could be.

Sorry to keep dragging the back from the dead but... Can an android phone (on Verizon) access email from OWA like a Blackberry does?

Yes, it can sync to an exchange account, but it doesn't support pin lock or remote data wipe.

One easy solution would be to find out if automated email forwarding is allowed. You could have all your email forwarded to a gmail account which you can access on the Droid. You also set up your gmail so the return address points back to your work email and any email sent is sent as your work email. I do with with my ISP provided email and it works seamlessly. This may make things a little messy with your desktop Outlook though, synchronization, etc. (provided you use it while at work).

I'll have to learn a little bit about OWA to see how it would work with Android.

Do any other phones have Flash yet?

Not neccesarily just flash... I maybe haven't looked hard enough but I'm still looking for a video player that can play dvix or mp4 files or whatever it is that I have on my MP3 player now so I can play the same videos on my Droid.

This MP3 player is several years old, is a touch screen and opperates off of flash memory... I don't see why my phone, based on newer technology, shouldn't be able to perform a similar task

Supposedly it uses the activesync to sync contacts, calendar, and email like a blackberry server does. I have yet to try it because I have a blackberry, but when my contract is up I would like an iphone or android os phone instead. Would love to get one to test in case my users decide they want to utilize this feature.

This is what I did before I got my BB. Not the best solution but worked.

On your BB, do you access OWA through your browser, through the email app, or though another app.

If you get the gmail forwarding, it really does work seamlessly. But I use gmail on my desktop too (not Outlook or other mail app) so everything is synched correctly. And I have the ability to forward my mail from the server, which you probably won't have the ability to do in a corporate environment without IT help.

Without those two, it'll work, but it will be a little hacked together. Also, it works for email only, and not contacts, calendar. Again, I use google for those anyway.

Through the email app.

I have had various BB for years and thinking about trying something new, like the Droid. Anyone have any testimonials on function. Any concerns with privacy when using Gmail/Google which I assume is storing your infomration on the web?

I just got my Droid a week ago. My dad got one in January and has loved it ever since. Not really sure about the privacy thing, but I really like it.

I'm going to be renewing my contract in about a month and I can't decide between the BB Storm2 and the Droid. I have a BB Curve, now and I love it. Any advice on which to choose?

My brother and I are ready to get new phones. Can anyone justify to me spending $100 a month on a phone? The only real phones with the features I actually need are in the $100 a month range. I remember having a plan in high school where unlimited texting cost $10, went in to Verizon the other day, $20.

I think Boost Mobile plan of unlimited minutes/text/data for $50/month is a very reasonable rate. They are using Sprint Network. Their phone selection is limited, but you can use most sprint phone. Look for more info in howardforums.com.

Go with a droid. Im sick of blackberry. They now released a free BES express server for free which ticks me off now that I just set up the pay one a few months back. Supposedly on carriers other than Verizon, BESX works without the higher data plan. I guess Im ****** all around. My next phone will not be a blackberry and I plan to use something that allows for activesync through exchange.

Does your office allow for exchange access on your current blackberry?

I would imagine if you are going to the Android route, the nexus one will be a better choice with faster processor and OLED screen, but less storage than motorola droid.
