We will be a force to be reckoned with in two years. Maybe even by next year if the QB can step in and step it up. Should be a wild ride.

I think it’s 3 years until we really see what he is all about.

Could be, but if this team can continue to work like this last class did, then we will be much better across all positions next year. Plus I'm really high on some of the youth in the program. Last year and this year's o-line prospects are going to be road graders. Also, excited about the talents coming up at LB. Hummel and Vance I think are going to be the real deal.

There's certainly a big difference in the message coming out of the staff and team than I ever remember hearing before

"This is only the beginning" as opposed to "we did it" after our last bowl game win.

Future is looking bright for the program, which is quite rare, honestly.

I love the hybrid version of the spread that we've installed. Seems like the goal is a power running game with a mix of big receivers and speed receivers pressuring the defense all over the field. The defense is perfectly built to defend Big 12 offenses too, but we'll need to always have some special guys in the front 6 to make it work this well.

I wonder if we shift more to a 4 man front. Or if we get a pair of larger backers to handle run situations.

Why blast that team? Do you have actual quotes from that team? You dont.

I specifically remember CPR stating we didn't deserve to be on the same field as Texas after we beat them.. Which very may well be true talent vs talent, however that's not exactly what you preach to instill confidence into your players.

I feel confident in 6-8 wins a year under CMC and I don't recall thinking that way at another time.

Have a season with 9-10 wins occasionally which is possible since this season was a few plays away from it.

Yes, I especially love the time of possesion. In the Rhoads era we were off the field so fast we did not give our defense enough time. I think it got better during the end of the Rhoads era but CMC is taking a common sense approach.

This quote came when Rhoads was pretty much out the door.

This was Year 2 leaning on partial/transitional recruiting classes and guys not yet deep into the process. This resulted in an OL that could not run block. We also had to use a career backup at QB after the starter leaves the team in October. We played 10 bowl teams.

Despite all that, we were a few plays and criminal ref incompetence away from being a CFP contender. These guys know how to build and prepare.

Great year and a hell of a job by this staff. Admittedly, I have trouble ignoring it easily could have been a 11-1 season.

The team clearly earned 9-4 (criminal is the right word) and had two losses to bowl teams where one play in the final seconds could have flipped the result.

To me it’s awesome that we played 10 bowl teams and were in every single game. Ohio State couldn’t do that. Played less bowl teams and got blown out twice.

Re the criminal game...what happens if Snyder doesn’t retire? Does he get a fixed game to end every season from here on?
